Tickled Pink Stamps DT - preview time! - Lil Pirate Frankie

Woohoo!!! It is time for the February release at Tickled Pink Stamps and today I have Lil Pirate Frankie to show you!! Perfect for boy's cards - my little boy thinks he's "awesome" LOL! With that in mind, and the fact that he loves reading, I decided to make him a bookmark!!!

Notice anything?? Funny looking paper!! I still had my sticky back canvas on my desk from making my letter rack and decided to see if I could colour with copics on it and the answer is yes!!! I thought it would make the bookmark a tad more durable! I had to colour in a kind of dot formation but I love the end result - it looks like it has been printed onto the canvas! I have stamped around the edges with Tim Holtz flourish stamp using walnut stain distress ink and stamped Connor's name with some individual letter stamps.

I added a Tim Holtz tag with an eyelet and the "treasure" die cut is from an MME sheet.

I made some tattered looking pennants with some more of the canvas and stamped them with a Hero Arts stamp for the handwriting background and then used the alphabet stamps to write "ahoy there". Again these are added with an eyelet.

You can't see much of the yellow paper on the front of the bookmark but it has nautical images and ship's logs on it - perfect for a pirate LOL! Don't know what happened with this photo, they were all taken at the same time yet this one looks dull!?!?! The true colours are on the other photos!
Hope you like it and your sneak peek at Lil Pirate Frankie! Pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations with him! Thanks for looking! x
