Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Paper Piecing

It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy challenge and this fortnight we'd like to see paper piecing on your projects! The gorgeous new Ben & Nora images by Alison Acton are perfect for paper piecing - lovely big clothing areas!! The papers I've used are from Whiff of Joy's new paper pad. I created the cloud shape for the front panel of the card myself.

I love Nora she is so cute! I have coloured her with copics and I've paper pieced her hat and coat with some gorgeous spotty paper by October Afternoon to give her a very girly raincoat and hat!! My little girl has a coat like this which she loves LOL!

I had such fun with this card - it is a simple design compared to my usual style but I think it works without any embellishing. I created some raindrops with glossy accents - I love how these turned out!

I have written the sentiment myself with my calligraphy. I tried to give it a bit of a Tim Holtz feel with different styles and sizes of lettering. The cardstock for the cloud shape is a pale silver pearlescent card although it is difficult to tell on the photos (the silver lining to the cloud LOL).

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Whiff of Joy challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous cards! Thanks for looking! x
