Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Anything Goes

Woohoo! Wednesday already and time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamps challenge! As always we are sponsored by the lovely Heidi with a whopping $50 credit voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store!!

This week our challenge is super easy - Anything Goes!! The DT are showcasing Unity Stamps for this challenge so if you have any we'd love to see them on your creations but it isn't essential! Now, I have to say I REALLY struggled with this challenge! Regular visitors will know that I don't really do clean and simple and I couldn't see anything else to do with my Unity Stamp other than clean and simple - argh!!! You wouldn't believe how many times I got the stamp out in front of me only to put it away again to await another day LOL!! My workshop with Tim Holtz brought me an idea in the end though!!! One of the canvases we made had embossed flowers, in a similar style to these that were then coloured with perfect pearls and so I decided to do the same. Only then I thought it would look better on kraft and so came about my black, white and kraft image!! Anyway, enough waffle, here is my card......

I have used a plain paper from MME La Paperie paper stack and added faux stitching with a fine black pen. I followed the gorgeous sketch at Stampartic for my card so am entering their challenge too!

I stamped the image with Black Soot distress ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder before doodling in some of the areas with a white Inkssentials pen. I also added white faux stitching around the edge.

The sentiment is by Tim Holtz, also stamped with Black Soot distress ink and I added some ribbon from my stash. The butterflies were punched from Bazzill Kraft cardstock using a Martha Stewart punch.
The flower is a Prima e-line flower and again the butterfly is from the Martha Stewart punch. The black pearl is from my stash.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have created with their Unity stamps - they did a much better job than I did with them LOL!! Thanks for looking! x
