Tickled Pink Stamps DT - Preview time!!!

Surprise!!! Yes, this month at Tickled Pink Stamps , to celebrate the 1st Anniversary of the launch of the Lil Lolitas, Kellie has a surprise release for you!! This second release is Lil Perfect Match - a set of stamps that have been designed specifically to match with partners from previous releases!!! Today I would like you to meet Mad Hatter Damon who is the perfect match to someone you may recognise - Lil Lolita Ivy! Of course I had to go all Alice in Wonderland for my card - hopefully I've succeeded in portraying Lewis Carroll's crazy and colourful world! I am entering my card into the Stampalot Challenge for May as their theme is "magical worlds" - perfect for an Alice card!

I merged Ivy and Mad Hatter together and I have coloured them with Prismacolor Pencils as I thought this would give the images the look of one of those beautiful pencil illustrations in old children's books. I think I'm getting better with these pencils - I'm very pleased with my grass LOL!
I have added glossy accents to both of their eyes and the tea pot to give the effect it is a silver one although it is so dull here in the UK at the moment it isn't showing on the photo as well as I'd like.

I added some flowers from my stash and a gorgeous tea pot charm from Whiff of Joy along with lots of butterflies punched with a Martha Stewart punch. I also received my gorgeous new doohickey dies last week so I had to add the amazing heart swirl - OMG I am in love with this die!! Luckilly I have a copy of Alice in Wonderland and sifted through it for some quotes from the Tea Party chapter and found the following which was just perfect for my little scene:

"Take some more tea" the March Hare said to Alice very earnestly.

"I've had nothing yet" Alice replied in an offended tone "so I can't take more".

"You mean you can't take less" said the Hatter, "It is easy to take more than nothing." "Nobody asked your opinion" said Alice.

LOL so funny and so true!! I had forgotten how great the lines are in this story and have decided to read it to my children at bed times! Anyway, I printed the whole lot on the PC onto kraft paper before tearing into strips so that I could fit it all on my card.

I added some faux white stitching around the edges of all the strips - love this look on kraft! The green BP is by Webster's Pages and I've distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink and stickles. See the little Cheshire Cat!?!?! I just had to add him when I saw him while sifting through my charms for the tea pot one! The button was from one of my local shops, Running with Scissors.

I hope you like my little tribute to Alice in Wonderland! Pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see the absolutely amazing creations from the Pink Ladies! Thanks for looking! x
