Designs Galore - Couture Collection Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Designs Galore - Couture Collection blog hop!! I am so lucky that my lovely team mate Denise from Magnolia Down Under Challenge asked the MDUC girls if they would like to participate in a fun blog hop using the most gorgeous papers designed by Denise herself!!! If you have come to my blog after seeing Fran's stunning creation then you are on the right track, if not, you may want to start at the beginning of the hop at Meg's Garden to join in the fun! The hop will run until 11th July and if you leave a comment on every blog in the hop you will be entered into the draw for the prize. A winner will be drawn by random. Here is my card using Denise's gorgeous papers "Designs Galore- Couture Collection" which is available at Meg's Garden.
As soon as I opened these papers and saw this gorgeous design with the toadstools I knew instantly what I wanted to create!! Here is my fairy garden card!!

Of course, there was only one image to use really - the toadstools from the Magnolia Sweet Rainbow collection! I have coloured them with copics and used liquid pearls for the spots.
A fairy garden wouldn't be complete without a fairy and so I have used the tiny little fairy Tilda from last year's winter kit. Again, I have coloured her with copics and added stickles to her wings and dress. You can just see around her I have added sprinkles of fairy dust all over the card by adding tiny spots of liquid pearls in groups of three.
To give the fairy garden more depth I die cut different shaped leaves with Magnolia dies and some grass with a Whiff of Joy die. All the flowers here are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The tiny little gem flower is from The Hobby House.
I added some more leaves and a Magnolia doohickey swirl at the other side and lots more flowers. The green chiffon flower is from my local haberdashery store.
Isn't the detail on the paper fabulous?? Love all the hanging flowers along the top! The tiny dragonflies are from The Hobby House too.
Another shot just to show how all the different elements are layered - I love how you can see tiny toadstool on the paper behind the die cut leaves!
I hope you've enjoyed your visit! Now it is time to hop on over to Karen's blog to see her stunning creation with these gorgeous papers!! Thanks for looking! x
