Pretty Little Ribbon Shop DT - Our First Challenge!!! and Whiff of Joy DT

Woohoo!! It is time for me to share my first creation for the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop as we have our very first challenge starting today over at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop blog. I have made a handbag card after seeing the amazing one by Leesa here. I decided it would be the perfect creation to show off ribbons!!

I have used kraft cardstock for the base and a mixture of papers from my stash, all inked with walnut stain distress ink. The gorgeous satin ribbon I've used for the handle and bow fastening is from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The butterflies were all punched from kraft cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch and I added some gems and pearls from The Hobby House.

When you untie the ribbon closure the bag is fastened with velcro. Lift the lid and you can see the full tag, adorned with a Prima flower and some more butterflies. The gorgeous pink and white button twine and button are from the Pretty Little Ribbon shop too!

This is how the bag unfolds!! I have used the gorgeous new Henry with large heart from Whiff of Joy to decorate the inside. I'm so happy Katharina has released him as a stamp as I've been wishing for it since he became the new logo!

Here's a close up. I've coloured the image with copics three times so that I could paper tole it for some added interest.
On either side of the bag I have added a large butterfly punched with a Martha Stewart punch and adorned with gems from The Hobby House.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Stempelglede's Just a Note set. The gorgeous frame around it was cut with a nestie and I added a knot of ribbon to match the handle and a tiny butterfly. This is what the opened out bag looks like on the other side. As you can see I have decorated every panel with paper so that it looks nice when you begin to unfold it. I have added my personal stamp to the bottom panel.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us for our Pretty Little Ribbon Shop challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the stunning creations from the rest of the team! Thanks for looking! x
