It's almost enough to put you off chocolate!

I was recently asked to create fifteen chocolate boxes from scratch for a corporate event!! Hours of die cutting and glueing!! Lots of hours!! It was almost enough to put me off chocolate! (nah - nothing could put me off chocolate LOL but it was quite tiring!).

Here's a close up of one of the boxes. The papers are by Dream Street Papers, available from The Hobby House and I cut the heart shapes with Go Create dies. I inked the edges of the papers with Tim Holtz' new gathered twigs distress ink.

Each box was topped with the same decoration of a lush chocolate ribbon and bow and flowers from The Hobby House. The leaves were all die cut with Magnolia doo hickey dies as were the swirls and the butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I formed the sides of the box around a smaller heart die cut to give a lip to the box and decorated them with some coordinating paper.

The boxes are opened and closed with a ribbon bow.

The inside was also decorated with the same striped paper as the outside and I added a smaller heart die cut to the inside of the lid to hide all the ribbon ends from the decoration and fastening.

The bottom has another layered heart detail to hide the ribbon fastenings and my personal stamp.

Hope you like them and thanks for looking! x

These are gorgeous! I know what you mean about being sick of them...I made 120 boxes for my son's wedding bonbonniere (Here's a link! as no-one ever believes that I'd be THAT mad, lol)and while they were basic, they were from scratch (which seemed like a good idea at the time!)and I made the goodies for inside them too; seriously mad by the end :-)Thank goodness I didn't put the effort in to mine that you have into yours!
