Pink Ink Skech Challenges DT - Kristy's Sketch!

Woohoo!! It is time for another fabulous challenge at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges! But first, I need to tell you about a name change though - we have renamed the challenge "The Sketchy Challenges" as lots of people were thinking it is linked to Kellie's store with it having pink in the title, which it isn't so we thought it best to change the name completely to avoid any further confusion! This fortnight we have a gorgeous sketch by Kristy - I absolutely loved playing around with this one! I have turned the sketch on it's side and added it to a square card (the sketch is a circular one). I have used papers by Magnolia and created a Christmas card for my little girl. I just have to use Tilda on her cards - every time I colour Tilda she asks if it is her and what she is doing in the stamp LOL - so cute! I have created a big round window for Tilda to sit in looking out at the beautiful snowy scene on Christmas Eve :) - I'm really thrilled how the idea turned out!

I have coloured Tilda with copics and added stickles to her wings and cut her out completely so she can sit in the window frame. Here's a closer look of what Tilda is looking at out of the window. Can you see the build up of snow on the window pane?? Hehehe - I had a lot of fun creating this card!

Of course Tilda has to have her tree up on Christmas Eve so I created her one using the tree stamp from last year's autumn kit. I stamped it twice with iced spruce distress ink and then cut them out to layer on top of each other to make a tall Christmas tree. Then added lots of sparkly baubles using gems from Whiff of Joy. The star on top is a charm from my stash which hubby kindly cut the ring off for me. The presents are squares and rectangles of another Magnolia paper topped with the cutest little pink bows which were a gift from my gorgeous friend Louise.

Now for the scene behind the window. I used the winter night background stamp and stamped it twice, side by side, with the border masked out, to make a larger scene. I covered the areas where they meet with a snow pen and dark colouring to hide any odd looking joins. I have coloured it with copics and added some more snowflakes and stars at the top where the stamping had ended.

The snow scene page opens out sideways to reveal a space for writing a Christmas message. Again the paper is by Magnolia and I used Kara's favourite of Mummy's Tildas - Tilda with teddy bear - just like Kara when she goes to sleep :).

I have coloured her with copics too and used the Magnolia doohickey snowflake die and added another of those cute bows to the centre. I created the doily using a corner punch.

On the other side I stamped the Merry Christmas text from last year's autumn kit with seedless preserves distress ink. I added a couple of gems and another snowflake with bow centre. I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at The Sketchy Challenges! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! We have a fabulous prize too! Thanks for looking! x
