Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar DT - Anything goes with sparkle!

Woohoo! It is time for another challenge at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar and this week we have our specialy monthly anything goes challenge. We also have the optional challenge of sparkle which I went with - who can resist sparkle at this time of year LOL? I have created this card for my hubby and I to give to our son for Christmas so it is a little more special than a "plain" card. I created a stepped easel card as I wanted to use Edwin and create a lovely snowy scene for him to be walking through.

Along the bottome there is a flutter of snowflakes and gems for lots of sparkle. Two piles of snowballs hold the easel in place when the card is being displayed. One pile by the lamp post....

...and another pile by the forest fence :). I have added fake snow and stickles to the tops of the fence posts. The trees are all the winter forest stamp coloured with copics and covered in lots of stickles. Through the doohickey lamp post you can spy Edwin walking through the snowy forest.

I have coloured Edwin with copics and added in the snowflakes with a snow pen and some stickles to the fur trims of his coat. I love this stamp - he looks so purposeful as he trudges through the snow don't you think?

I stamped the winter night background but masked out the star so that I could use it as a daytime background! Again, I've coloured the image with copics and added stickles and "snow". The snowflakes were cut with a doohiceky die.

I also created a pocket in the back panel for a message tag.....

.....I have used Edwin from last year's Christmas collection on the tag along with the Merry Christmas stamp from last year's autumn kit. I have inked around the edge with one of the new seasonal distress inks - Iced Spruce - totally gorgeous!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations! Thanks for looking! x
