Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas - tag one and a December Daily Disaster

Yes!!! It is Tim's 12 tags of Christmas time again and this year I promised myself I was going to make time each evening to create that days tag and so far so good!! Here's the tag from day one - my favourite of the three so far as I just adore these colours - AND I had most of the stuff to create it with which is always a bonus! I've had a disaster as far as my December Daily album is concerned though.....I had my picture taken ready for the 1st - printed it out and it's all pink! The nozzles are apparently clogged on my printer and I've tried every suggestion going to unclog them with no success.......so now I can't print anything for my album - I'm gutted! We're trying to decide whether to try some more cartridges or bin this printer and buy a new one as this is the second time in two months we've had problems with the cartridges and nozzles and it's only a fraction more money for a new printer! crazy!!

I love what Tim did with the snowflake embossing and white embossing powder - will definitely use this technique again! I don't have any kraft core cardstock so created a tag from kraft paper and inked it with Evergreen Bough distress ink before embossing - worked brilliantly! I don't have any of the baubles Tim used so I added a couple of bells instead.

I don't have the Noel die so dug about in my selection of grungeboard letters and managed to make Noel (although I had to create my own "o" by hollowing out the dot from the large letter "j" LOL!). I then embossed them with silver embossing powder as I don't have any silver glitter (can you believe that???).

Here's my favourite die in action again - loved Tim's how to video for this as there were a couple of tips in there that has made it a whole lot easier to make them! I added some snow writer pen to mine as the white paint was turning brown as I had to ink kraft cardstock to make the pinecones.

Luckilly I have the festive greenery die too so could create that easilly and I used a strip of Magnolia paper that has music on it for the banner which I just tore out myself.

Hope you like it! I'll be back shortly with my version of tag two! Thanks for looking! x

Hi Jane, I love your tag. I am still not finished to create my own. I also liked his first one the best :)

But what about the December Daily disaster?? Now you made me curious :)

Hi Jane,
I love your tag and it is great how you managed cut out the hole in that J. I wouldn't have thought of it.
I must give these tags a go. Don't usually do distressing.

Fantastic and the splattered snow with the embossing powder is my new favourite technique :D! Love your letters and the way you improvised, I think it's the best thing about doing this. Shame re your December daily, very disappointing and I hope you get your printer sorted soon. Hugs, Chris xx
