Here's their inspiration photo - gorgeous colours aren't they!?
I painted the egg with cream acrylic paint and then randomly stamped a Hero Arts stamp all over and embossed it with bronze embossing powder. The photo doesn't really pick it up but it looks really beautiful in real life with the shimmery writing! I broke into a sweat and added the last piece of my Tim Holtz rose trim around the egg where the two halves join and then topped that with a string of pearls.
I added lots of flowers from my stash in gorgeous pinks, peaches, creams and light blues to fit the challenge theme - love this combination, so soft and delicate! The large flower and the blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the blue tulips and peach daisies are from Magnolia and the pink hydrangea is from Prima. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart Punch and the whole arrangement is sat on top of a white feather.
Here's a view from the other side of the egg. The pretty pink blossom at the front is also by Prima.
The butterfly was cut from Webster's Pages paper and the whole egg and flower arrangement was sprayed with pearl glimmer mist which you can just see shimmering on the butterfly.
How gorgeous are those peach daisies!? They are actually from the Magnolia store in Sweden from my lovely friend Louise.
The key is from Creative Expressions and it is tied on with some bakers twine from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and I added a pearl cut from the string of pearls.
I hope you like it! Have a lovely Easter Sunday, we have my parents coming over for lunch and I've had a go at making a cheesecake - let's hope it's OK! Thanks for looking! x

The poor wee soul but barbie clothes are much better than chocolate cos that goes so quickly but she will have the barbie clothes for years. Your egg you made for her is stunning x
This is stunning
What a gorgeous Easter egg!! Your daughter is bound to love it with the barbie clothes. Even though our five children didn't have diabetes, we would keep down the sweets by doing such things too. Your daughter will have those barbie clothes a longer than the chocolates any way. The best to you and your daughter as you make lifestyle changes. Happy Easter! Again that egg is so GORGEOUS!
This is stunning !! Love this Easter egg. Happy Easter to you and your family. Hugs, Marion
