I have a fun little project to show today that I made for my little boy's teacher gifts. Firstly I have to say excuse the crinckle look to the wrapping paper - he insisted on wrapping it himself lol! I had a little jar of sweets and I thought it would be fun to make an apple shaped bag to take it to school in. It worked out quite well I think.
The "An Apple For You" sentiment is from
Whiff of Joy and I added leaves to the apple using a doohickey die. I don't know why these photos look really strange on the apple but too late to do anything about it now as the gift has already left the house!
On the back of the bag I added another set of leaves and a message tag.
A view from the top of the bag. As the jar of sweets was quite heavy I made the base with very thick chipboard and wrapped the ribbon between layers in the side and bottom so that the bag wouldn't break under the strain! It worked brilliantly I'm pleased to report!
When I saw the state of the wrapping (bless him lol) I thought I needed to cover it a little bit without offending him so made a band to match the apple bag using some spotty Graphic 45 paper and then created an apple shaped tag to match the bag. Luckilly he thought it was great!
