Chocolate Hearts Tutorial

As promised I'm back with my little tutorial to show you how I turned some wooden buttons from The Ribbon Girl into chocolate hearts as seen on my card yesterday.  The first step is to coat the wooden buttons in gesso ensuring that the button holes are completely filled in - this may take two or three coats - I simply dipped the buttons straight into my gesso pot!
Next you need to either paint the hearts brown or use alcohol ink and distress ink as I did.
Once the paint/ink is dry give the hearts a coat of glossy accents.
To finish take white perfect pearls and draw a zig-zag line down each heart, and there you have it, wooden "chocolate" hearts!!  Hope you enjoyed my little tutorial and thanks for looking! x
