Woohoo!!! I hope you're having a lovely weekend! It it time for another challenge at Lovely hAnglar and Sweet Magnolia and this week our theme is "spring". Personally what I just love about spring is when you start to hear the birds singing in the trees again and the first butterflies begin to flutter around so that was my inspiration for this card.
I used the Tim Holtz Caged Bird die and covered the bird in some Webster's Pages papers that I've painted over with white acrylic paint to tone them down. I'm loving the Frantage I've been seeing everywhere but haven't got any just yet so decided to have a bit of a play with the embossing powders and different glitters and mediums that I had to hand to create a similar effect on the bird cage.
I made the orchid myself and the rest of the flowers are from the Ribbon Girl, and so is the cheesecloth.I've stamped the gorgeous butterflies #421 from the latest Magnolia collection with Victorian Velvet distress ink and also sprinkled them with perfect pearls in pink. I've also used the Cute Corner Doohickey #72 on the bottom of the card.
Here's the other butterfly from the set. You can see a little better the soft shimmer on it from the Perfect Pearls.
The pretty pink seam binding and the pearl string are from the Ribbon Girl and the tag is another Doohickey die, Scalloped Tag #28.
These gorgeous roses are my absolute favourite from The Ribbon Girl, so soft and delicate looking!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Lovely hAnglar and Sweet Magnolia Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations! Thanks for looking! x

Lovely feminine card. I am hankering for a birdcage die, but still looking for my ideal one.
