Ribbon Girl DT - Birthday Cards

Good morning!  I hope you're having a lovely weekend.  If you're going to be doing some crafting this weekend why not join us over at The Ribbon Girl where we have a birthday card challenge for you.  This is a birthday card I was commissioned to create for one of my husband's friends.  The paper is by Magnolia - I think it may be my most favourite paper ever - the colours are my favourite colours AND there are butterflies!!  What more can I ask for lol!?  I've used the Tim Holtz Doily die on the top edge of the card.
I have masked Cocco with Present #230 with a balloon background stamp from an earlier collection to create a little birthday scene.  The images are coloured with copics and I have also done some paper toll for an extra special touch.  I've glossed Cocco's nose and eyes with glossy accents.
I've added stickles to one balloon and glossy accents to the other.  I have inked around the images with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.
Yes, I've used them again - my beloved Orchids Doohickeys - I just cannot get enough of them!  I have cut them from pink vellum which gives them such a delicate look.  I have used a leaf doohickey and the Sprawling Fronds Doohickey behind the orchids.  I've used the Tim Holtz Butterflight die along the left hand edge.
The lettering was cut from a Maja Design paper and the seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl.
The crystal brad in the centre of the bow is from Dovecraft.
I couldn't hide all of those beautiful butterflies on the paper - one managed to flutter its' way up to the top of the image mat!
In this photo you can see the dimension on the paper toll - I must remember to do this more often!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking! x
