Good morning! It is our final challenge of the year at The Ribbon Girls and our theme is Winter/Christmas. I have used lots of gorgeous embellishments from the Ribbon Girl to decorate six Tim Holtz trees to use as place markers on my Christmas dinner table. My plan is to have the names on the bases. My table is going to be silver and white this year so I've gone for white pearls and clear gems to decorate the trees.
The trees are actually quite a yellow cream when purchased so to whiten them I mixed some white Annie Sloane Chalk Paint with lots of water in a jam jar and dipped the trees in it. The pearls and gems were glued on with my trusty glue gun. The stars on top of the trees are diamante ribbon sliders from The Ribbon Girl which are simply wedged onto the top of the tree! I'd like to say these were a quick and easy project but I'd be lying lol! I thought they wouldn't take long at all but gluing all those little gems on was actually very time consuming - good job I can use them every year!I hope you like them and I've inspired you to join us at The Ribbon Girl. Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's incredible creations. Thanks for looking! x
