Stempelglede DT - New Stamps!

Good morning!  I am so very excited to show you today's project I have created using the brand new stamps from Stempelglede!  There are four new stamp sets being released and they are all incredibly gorgeous!  I know you're going to love them as much as I do!  For my first project using the new stamps I altered a Christmas gift box to turn it into a keepsake box.
I began by covering the box lid with paper from My Mind's Eye's Bella Bella paper pad and inking the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink for an aged look.
I then added some pretty lace from The Ribbon Girl around the sides and a faux keyhole from Prima to the front side.
Here is an overhead view of the top of the box so that you can see all the elements.  I wanted it to look like someone was sorting through their collection of keepsakes and had left them lying haphazardly on top of the box.
I created my own sheet of patterned paper from a plain piece of paper from the Bella Bella pad by stamping four different stamps from the new collections.  I have used the Butterfly Collage stamp from the Post C Card from Paris collection in the bottom left corner and coloured it with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.  I then added white details with a gel pen.  The flowers stamped around the edge is the Scroll Flowers stamp, also from the Post Card from Paris collection.  I coloured the flowers with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and again added details with a white gel pen.
In the top right corner I used the French 5c Stamp image twice in different colours and the French Script stamp over the top.  These stamps are also from the Post Card from Paris set.
The gorgeous photo stamp, Baby, is from the Vintage Baby collection.  I am always amazed when I stamp a photo stamp, it is hard to believe a stamp can reproduce a photo in this way!  I love the delicate scrollwork around the edges of the photo too.

Peeping out from beneath the photo is a postcard, stamped with the Vintage Postcard stamp from the Post Card from Paris collection.  I have added a key from my stash on top.
Also underneath the photo is a spoiled letter created with the French Script and Ink Stain stamps from Post Card from Paris.  I crumpled the letter up and rubbed Walnut Stain Distress Ink onto the wrinkles to age it.
The gorgeous butterfly that just happens to have landed on the peony is a stamp from the Vintage Baby collection, stamped onto coffee filter paper and painted with Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood Distress Inks.  I have also added white details with a gel pen.
I also added touches of cheesecloth from The Ribbon Girl here and there to soften the look...
...and little ball feet using glass pebbles.  The mirror finish on the bottom of the box is the original finish of the gift box.
The hydrangea flowers were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and painted with Distress Inks.
The peony flowers were made from coffee filter papers using Doohickey Peony Die from Magnolia as per my friend Chelsea's tutorial.
The bud underneath the large peony is from Prima.
Another shot showing all the layers on the lid :).
I hope you like it and I've inspired you today.  Gunhild's incredible stamps are available for pre-order now.  Pop over to the website for details of where to order.  I will be back with another Stempelglede creation very soon as I am so inspired by these stamps I have lots more to show you!  Thanks for looking. x
