Commissioned thank you card and some jewellery

Gosh it seems like ages since I posted. I've been extremely busy crafting, haven't been able to enter my usual challenges! I had 4 commissions given me in two days, one to be done for tomorrow with only a days notice and the other three for next week, plus I had to make some jewellery as a present for tomorrow and all the beads didn't arrive until yesterday!

I did make my first Anya card with my gorgeous candy but can't show it yet as I want to make sure it reaches the recipient first.

This is the thank you card, I was requested to make it look like a sepia photograph. I have done this before but I'm not entirely happy with this one as my colourless blender ran out half way through so its a bit patchy looking in my opinion, but I suppose it adds to the aged feel LOL! I decided to make it a star shape as the lady I've made it for wanted it to say "you're a star" inside. Then I had the idea to make it like a patchwork star and so spent ages stitching little offcuts of paper together into a star shape.....insane!!! Really pleased with the end result though. I made another of my paper roses and distressed it with brushed corduroy distress ink (part of my candy!) and also some shimmer ink (also from candy) which I haven't used before but it looks gorgeous! I felt as the papers were very busy and the rose so large I didn't need much else so just added a few diamante stars here and there for some sparkle. The inside is quite plain, the edges distressed with the same distress ink as the rose and again some gold shimmer, it really shines! I wrote the message myself with my calligraphy pen, I'm loving doing this again, I'd forgotten all about it but it is now so easy to make any greeting I like. I have a fantastic book with lots of different style alphabets in to copy from, this was given to me when I was about 11 and it is a really old leather bound book, I love it. It belonged to an old gentleman who had been a sign writer and it was his college book! He was a friend of my Grandad and Nannan and was apparently impressed with a calligraphy Christmas card I made them and so gave them the book to give to me. As you can see I also just had to use my new MS branch punch Iris sent me in my candy....I absolutely LOVE it!
