Just Magnolia challenge

Here's my entry for this week's challenge at Just Magnolia to a sketch by the fabulous Rach. It's a gorgeous sketch Rach, thank you!

I stamped Magnolia's New Year swirl in plum Q chalk onto some textured card, (the picture's rubbish, sorry, must get a camera instead of using my phone) but in real life it looks really effective as looks a bit like a tapestry! I have added faux stitching throughout the card with my white gel pen.

I have followed part of the sketch through to the inside and added flowers and a Magnolia butterfly stamp was used to emboss the butterfly at the bottom of the circle. I thought it looked quite good uncoloured so just added clear glitter glue to the wings allowing both papers to show through.

The sentiment on the front was stamped in plum with Whiff of Joy sentiment from the summer stamp kit and the sentiment inside I wrote with pink whispers pen. I distressed all the edges with distress ink in tattered rose after seeing Kim's fabulous tutorial - thanks Kim! x
