WOJ challenge - use charms

Here is one of my commissioned birthday cards which I'm entering into this weeks Whiff Of Joy challenge where we have been asked to use charms on our cards. I saw a tri-fold card a few weeks ago whilst blogging and knew I just had to have a go at one as I think they look fantastic. (Not sure why it is called this though as there are actually four folds) I enjoyed doing this so much and will definitely be doing some more, it is so deceptively easy to do and great fun to decordate and you have loads more space to play with! Which as you can see meant I got to us not one but three of my gorgeous summer stamp kit....yay!!! Willow has been coloured with copics (no surprise there then) and I have used a couple of swirl stamps from the spring kit around the edge using pink Q chalk and then coloured the edges with the same colour chalk.

I used the gorgeous potted standard tree stamp for the first time, its so gorgeous isn't it!? Not sure what type of tree it is designed to be but decided it can be either apple or orange so I did apples to go with the papers!

As you can see my fabulous MS branch punch from my candy has been used again, I just love this punch sooooooo much and on this photo you can see my qualifying charm in the shape of a bee hovering about to get at those strawberries LOL!

A different view of the card showing how it folds out and my third summer kit stamp of those scrummy strawberries, I just love colouring them and making them look shiney and delicious! You can't really tell on the picture but the front strawberry in each pair is on a foam pad so it actually is out in front.

Another close up, the card is for someone's Mum and the sentiment actually says "thanks for being a special Mum and the best of friends".

Another angle. (sorry got carried away with the photos as I just love how it all folds this way and that! LOL

The bow and tree, there are actually some fuschia pink gems above the tree and below Willow but you can only just see them on the photo.

And finally this is what it looks like folded to put in the envelope!

Images: summer stamp kit from Whiff of Joy coloured with copics

Papers: Basic Grey Euphoria collection and Coredinations cardstock

Flowers: Prima and punched with EKsuccess retro flower punch and "leaves" with MS branch punch
