Just Magnolia challenge - Mina's sketch

Happy Thursday to you all! It's my birthday today so I'm thinking I might treat myself to some daytime crafting while my little girl has her nap rather than housework, only fair I think! Anyway, the card I have to show you is my entry for this week's Just Magnolia challenge to the lovely and talented Mina's gorgeous sketch. You remember my other two Magolia cards in this colour scheme that are to be pictures for my daughter's bedroom? Well Mina's sketch was the perfect opportunity for the final picture of the trio! Thank you Mina! I have used the same papers from the Basic Grey sugared collection and the same yummy lace and ribbon.

I have used another of the images Mina kindly stamped for me from the summer kit and coloured her in the same colours as for the previous two cards. (I have a little trick to show you further down also to do with the rubber ring) For the three circles on Mina's sketch I have used Prima hydrangeas with metal spacers and pink brads to also tie them into the previous two pictures as they both had metal charms on them.

The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy summer kit and has been stamped with tattered rose distress ink and then sprayed with pearl glimmer mist. Now for my little tip (I'm probably way behind the times here and you're all doing this already but it's new for me LOL)

As the images have been so very kindly stamped for me they were both on separate pieces of card. In order for Tilda to be sitting on the ring I firstly cut out the ring and placed it over the top of Tilda and marked where the ring touched her hands and legs. I then cut around her from these two points and cut out the section of card in the middle.

Ooooo sorry about the colour clash, should have put some white underneath it LOL!

The ring is then threaded through the slots that have been shaped around her hands and legs so that she is sitting on it and you can see it through her legs! I have then replaced the ripples that were around the stamped image of the ring with my own hand drawn ones. Sorry if that was completely obvious and boring, hopefully it helps someone!

My usual picture on an angle to finish so you can see all the layers! x
