Anyway, back to the card. The papers are from a K&Co pad and have all been torn and distressed with weathered wood distress ink. The "flag" has been torn from my son's coloured paper pad as I didn't have any black paper or card. I have painted the grungeboard skull with pickett fence crackle paint and then distressed it with weathered wood ink.

A break from Christmas for Sketch Saturday
Ugh, not a great card today but I thought I'd share it anyway. I needed a card for an 8 year old boy.....hmmmm tricky but I refuse to buy cards since I started this hobby and am determined I will make every card our house needs no matter how challenging the recipient LOL! I needed inspiration big time for this and found the sketch at Sketch Saturday perfect as I knew I was going to use the Tim Holtz grunge skull and crossbones so the square was perfect for a pirate flag! Luckilly this only took about 20 mins to make which is just as well seeing as hubby and I sat down last night to look through my Christmas cards and allocate them to people only to find I need to make fourteen more!!!!! I thought I'd have excess as it seems like I've made so many over the last 3 months LOL!

Don't sell yourself short. It is easy to make darling cards for little girls. You have managed to make one for the little boys! I love it!
