StampARTic challenge

I needed to make a birthday card for my children to give their Grandad this week - I have four relative's birthdays in the first twelve days of the year!! As I like to give separate cards from the children that's a lot of cards! I loved the challenge over at StampARTic this week. The sketch is gorgeous and I liked the idea of the theme of bare minimum stash. I have used papers from K&Co torn the edges and distressed with Weathered Wood distress ink and then added stickles.
I masked Tilda and Edwin from the new winter/Christmas kit as I thought they represent my children quite well. They have been coloured with distress inks nd I have added stickles to Edwin's wings and Tilda's shoes and the white parts of her dress. Both my children are fair haired so I coloured the hair to suite, I quite like them with this colour hair actually, a change for me as I almost always do their hair brown for some reason!
I used a grungeboard heart from Tim Holtz, inked it all over with white Qchalk and the edges with aqua Qchalk. "Grandad" is a peel off and I have then covered the whole thing in stickles. I have attached it to the card with raffia which I recycled from some packaging.
I have threaded the raffia through two holes punched in the image layer and then threaded the ends through a button which is also recycled - it fell off my Son's old coat!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
