Just Magnolia challenge - Easter basket

Thank you for all your entries to our hearts and flowers challenge, they were gorgeous!!! This week it is our special monthly challenge, sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, and you are going to love this one, I know we all did!!! The challenge is to make and/or decorate an Easter basket/container. Isn't this just the cutest little Easter basket??? It is so easy to make too!! Our featured stamper Lena Katrine has done a brilliant tutorial showing you exactly how to make it so I hope you'll all be inspired to have a go!!! Appart from the white punched cardstock it is made from one sheet of 12x12!!!! I used Basic Grey citron paper from the sultry collection. Not usually a colour I would go for but it was in a sale pack and as it is an Easter Basket I thought it would give a nice spring feel to my project teamed with some daisies (which I then discovered I only had two of LOL thought I had more!)
On the gift tag I have used this gorgeous Tilda from the yummy in my tummy collection. I just love this stamp, don't know what it is about it but it is one of my favourites!! The tag is tied to the handle with a bow. Instead of punching a hole in the tag I created a fancy top using the corner punch from my MS punch around the page set.
I coloured her with distress inks and managed to mix a pretty good match for the papers with spiced marmalade and peeled paint which I was pleased about!! I have added a stickled butterfly from my MS Monarch butterfly punch. The small pearls are from the Hobby House and the ribbon is one I've had in my stash for almost a year!! (like I said these aren't normally my colours LOL!)
On the front I've used my absolute all time favourite Tilda from the lazy days of summer collection, my two daisies (so wish I'd had more of them) and another two butterflies.
Again, Tilda is coloured with distress inks and I have added stickles to her dress and wings.
I have used my MS heart lace punch for the trims all around the basket and the handle, just love this punch so much and I have added a bow to the bottom of the handle at each side. As you can see two more butterflies made there way onto this side and another landed on the handle LOL!
On the back I used my personal stamp and.....another butterfly LOL!!!!
Hope you like it. You must pop over to the challenge blog and see the tutorial and the rest of the DT's baskets, you seriously will be stunned at their creations!!! x
