Whiff of Joy Get Well collection on sale now!!

Just thought I'd pop on and let you all know that the Whiff of Joy Get Well collection is on sale as of now!!!! Click here!!

Get Well soon Henry!! - Whiff of Joy DT sneak peek!

Well you all seem to be loving the sneak peeks of the get well collection from Whiff of Joy! Here I am with another one for you, this time with images by Alison Acton, Henry the adorable mouse of course! Poor Henry he looks so bedraggled and sorry for himself! I thought it would be fun to make a little get well soon set, perhaps to take with you when visiting someone in hospital LOL, and so I've made this gift card and bag topper for a bag of grapes (THE must have get well gift LOL).

All the papers are from the MME Quite Contrary range and I have used the sketch from Create 4 Fun for my card only I jotted it down wrong and missed the circle element off it so can't enter it LOL! The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here's a close up of poor Henry. This image is appropriately named "sick Henry". I've coloured him with copics. The edges are distressed with bundled sage distress ink.

Here is my favourite idea I had for this get well collection - a thermometer made from shrink plastic!!!

The sentiment is also from the collection but comes with a different image. I've stamped it with bundled sage distress ink and cut it out with a tag die.
The card is actually a gift wallet to perfectly house some tissues and perhaps a cold remedy for the poorly recipient. Here I've used another Henry using one of the tissues! He's called "sneezing Henry". Again he is coloured with copics. The Get Well Soon sentiment is also one that comes with another stamp from the collection.

The bag topper is a fairly simple one using scraps from the card and I have used a mini Henry which was in my DT kit.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Don't forget these cuties go on sale tomorrow! I still have some more to show you, and they're just as cute as these! x

Just Magnolia DT - Bev's sketch meets Colour Create Challenge

WOW!!! We had a huge amount of entries last week at Just Magnolia challenge! Thank you all so much! This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Bev, thanks hun, I loved using it!! Perfect to ink up this little pirate Edwin I managed to get at the NEC. The rest were sold out! I have used the stunning colour challenge at Colour Create Challenge of Burnt Orange, Black and Cream - absolutely gorgeous don't you think!? The burnt orange paper is K&Co and the black and cream stripe was a scrap left over from the Gorjuss Girls sets I've been showing you this week. I distressed them with Walnut stain distress ink and then stickled them.

Edwin is coloured with distress inks. I cut him out so that I could sit him in front of the stormy sky and sea background I created with weathered wood and faded jeans distress inks.

As I was distinctly lacking in pirate like accessories I have made the pirate flag myself by drawing the skull and crossbones with a white gel pen onto the black cardstock. The border has been die cut with Tim Holtz scrollwork die. The ribbon and brads are from the Hobby House.

The map was also drawn by me onto the cream cardstock and then I aged it with vintage photo distress ink. The cute key charm is from Whiff of Joy! Now Edwin just needs to find the treasure chest LOL!

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's stunning creations! x

Whiff of Joy DT sneak peek!!

I have another sneak peek for you from the Whiff of Joy Get Well collection to be released on Saturday! This one is called "Broken" by Norma Fickel. Isn't he adorable!? The paper is a piece from my stash that was rather distressed as you can see LOL, it was a leftover from a shabby chic project, I only needed to shorten one side with a bit of tearing and it was the perfect size! I've inked the edges with weathered wood distress ink.
I've coloured the image with copics and added some tiny silver pearls from the Hobby House to each corner.

The sentiment is also from the collection but comes with a different stamp. I have stamped it with versafine smokey grey ink.

This is one of my other ideas I had for this get well collection - real bandage for the "ribbon" LOL! Let's hope noone injures themselves at my house as the sterile bandage roll is no longer sterile LOL! The heart charm is from the Hobby House as are the large pearls that I have dotted about.
Hope you like it! I'll be back with another peek tomorrow! x

Another Whiff of Joy DT sneak peek!

As promised I have another sneak peek for you from the Whiff of Joy Get Well collection which will be released on Saturday! As I said yesterday, all three illustrators have contributed to the collection, so there should be something for everyone, although, got to be honest, they're all stunning! Today I have one of Norma Fickel's gnomes for you, full of a head cold, bless! The papers are MME from the Quite Contrary range and I've distressed and stickled the edges as usual! I have used a sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp who are giving a choice of all their sketches to use this week. This one is number 9.
I have coloured "you'll feel better in the morning" with copics and added some stickles to her top. Don't you just know how she feels, poor love, I hate having a cold so much.
I added some punched swirls with my EK success swirl flourish punch and added some gems to the end of each flourish.
The gorgeous flowers are from Prima with the exception of the tiny rose which is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The branches were punched with MS branch punch. This has to be one of my favourite nesties!! It is from the fancy tags set. The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy but comes with one of the other images in the collection. I haven't drawn on the ribbon LOL, I've had this in my stash ages, it is graduated in two different greens on one side and bright pink on the other!
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

The final decoupage card

This is the final card in the set of Gorjuss Girl decoupage cards that I made for the Hobby House. As with the others the papers were in the kit and I've distressed them with frayed burlap distress ink and stickles.

I used MS daisy edge punch along both edges of the image and added ribbon from the Hobby House along the top and bottom. The sentiment came with the kit too.The flowers are Prima e-line, sprayed with glimmer mist.

Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT sneak peek!!!

Yippee!!! At last my first Whiff of Joy DT package arrived today after being delayed due the airport closures! Of course, I couldn't wait to get started, I had so many ideas buzzing around in my head for them all!! So, here is my first Whiff of Joy DT card!! The papers are from Cosmo Cricket except the spotty one which I don't know unfortunately. I have used the sketch from Stamp with Fun, thank you, it is a gorgeous sketch!! I distressed all the edges with brushed cordoruy distress ink. I'm also going to enter this into the Quixotic challenge as they would like to see distressing. Don't these two make the sweetest pair nursing Willow's doll??? They are separate stamps, both by Elisabeth Bell, but they work so perfectly together don't they!? They remind me of characters from Enid Blyton which is what inspired the colour scheme for them! I have coloured them with copics.

The roses and blossom flower are from Wild Orchid Crafts but to make the blossom larger I have added a couple of flowers from Prima to it. They're all sprayed with glimmer mist of course!
One of my little ideas for these stamps was to make this nurses watch pin LOL! The clock face image is from The Graphics Fairy. I reduced the size of the image before printing and I have then added a larger circle of cardstock to it and rubbed some gold and bronze luster rub ons around the edges. I then embossed the the whole thing a few coats of UTEE! The chain and tiny safety pin are from my stash.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy too, although it comes with one of the other stamps from this get well collection. There are 10 stamps in all, by all three illustrators!!! They are all brilliant too! I shall do my best to get another one inked up to show you tomorrow. They are to be released on Saturday so you don't have long to wait to get your hands on them!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy Challenge - money/gift card holder

This week at Whiff of Joy Challenge we would like to see money or gift card holders!!! The DT have made a fabulous variety of money holders for your inspiration from cards to bags and this purse from me!! It is roughly based on a tutorial I found on Split Coast Stampers forum here. I embossed some cream card with a big shot embossing folder and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The reverse of the cardstock was covered with a patterened paper from Basic Grey Boxer collection and then stitched the edges with my sewing machine. The purse is held closed with magnets from Basic Grey. The ribbon is from my stash and the gorgeous diamante slider is from the Hobby House.

Inside the purse I made a gift card holder from some scraps of the embossed cardstock before attaching a "bag charm" which I made from some beads, chain and jump rings. I then stamped and coloured Shopping Willow onto shrink plastic to add to the "bag charm".

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Whiff of Joy challenge. Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - buttons, bows and bling

WOW!! what an amazing amount of entries we had last week, thank you all so much!! This week our challenge at Simon Says Stamp is "buttons, bows and bling" gorgeous combo of embellishments!! This week the DT are showcasing stamps from "The Greetings Farm" so I dusted off this cute Flutter Anya that I've had a year and only used twice! She's so cute isn't she and a joy to colour! If you haven't got a Greetings Farm image you can still enter as long as your stick to the theme! The papers are from the MME Quite Contrary range - soooo gorgeous! I've distressed them with bundled sage distress ink and stickles. I've used the gorgeous sketch at Cute Card Thursday for my card - brilliant sketch, thank you!

I've coloued Anya with copics and added stickles to her wings and skirt.

At last I've got my hands on some of Tim Holtz' gorgeous tickets and how perfect is this one for this image!? I inked the edges with bundled sage distress ink and added some gems from Kaisercraft for some extra sparkle. The ribbon and button are from my stash.

I made the stunning centre flower following Ranita's tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog and sprayed it and the small roses with glimmer mist.

Hope you can join us this week at Simon Says Stamp challenge! Thanks for looking! x

Truly Scrumptious challenge

Nearly there with showing you the Gorjuss Girl decoupage kits that I made up for the Hobby House! I've used the sketch at Truly Scrumptious challenge for this one. The papers were in the kit and I've distressed them with frayed burlap distress ink and stickles.

The ribbon is from the Hobby House and the name tag came with the kit and I added some pearls over the printed nail heads. The flowers are Prima and the spacers are from the Hobby House. I added some Oscrap brads that were a perfect match for her dress and some branches punched with MS branch punch.

Thanks for looking!

A hAnglar for Sketch Saturday

I finally found time to use another of my new hAnglar & sTanglar stamps. This one's a commission, and I think this stamp is perfect for a card from a man to his wife don't you?? I have used the fab sketch from Sketch Saturday. The paper is from the Basic Grey Indian Summer pad and I've distressed them with Walnut Stain distress ink. I was asked to make larger cards than my normal 6x6 so decided to use two contrasting layers of cardstock so it didn't look too out of proportion. I must say I really like things to be symetrical so love my square cards LOL and it just felt wrong making this size LOL!!

I have coloured the image with copics and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. I added some faux stitching with a silver pen.

These cute hearts and ribbons were stamped with a hAnglar stamp I already had which goes perfectly with this new one - how cool is that!? These are also coloured with copics.

The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and the heart is another of the hAnglar ones but I cut the ribbons off.

I've used a fancy tag die for he sentiment which I've hand written. The pearls are from the Hobby House.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Lili of the Valley challenge

There's a gorgeous sketch by Bev this fortnight for the Lili of the Valley challenge which was perfect for another of the cards I made for the Hobby House to showcase the Gorjuss Girl decoupage kits. Hope you're not getting bored of them, I've two more to show you yet LOL!

The flowers are Prima and the spacers and brads are from the Hobby House, as is the gorgeous heart charm.

The ribbon is from the Hobby House and the leaves were punched with a Woodware punch.

Thanks for looking! x
