Everybody Art challenge and BSSS

Here is the other card I made especially to take to the BSSS for my colouring demo yesterday. I had the most amazing time! I loved doing the demo on the Whiff of Joy stand, it was so much fun and people asked lots of questions. I was nervous at first and coloured really fast LOL but after the first couple of images I felt more relaxed and managed to slow down so people could actually see what I was doing LOL (always a good idea on a demo!). I got to see Bev and Jacqui again, and of course I met Katharina!! She is just so lovely and I got to watch her colour with the twinkling H20's too!! I also met Rach, which was so great and I met up with Lols from the Simon Says Stamp DT with Joey, Sydney and Sue. I bumped into Caz again and this time Marlene was with her!! Also Sandra (Craftynan) came to say hello while I was colouring, it was so lovely to put faces to all the names in blogland! I didn't spend that much as noone seemed to have the things on my wish list so it will be back to searching for them on the internet later LOL!! My lovely hubby was with me yesterday as I didn't dare drive all that way on my own and he was so patient, playing with his iphone while I demonstrated, love him!
Anyway, back to the card.....I've used the sketch at Everybody Art challenge which was perfect for a male card!! The papers are Basic Grey and have been inked with brushed corodury distress ink.
Cool Oakley from the City Girls collection by Whiff of Joy has been coloured with copics and I've sewn around the edges of the image.
I added a grungeboard store from Tim Holtz elements which I have inked with distress inks and then used various colours of lustre rub ons. I punched a couple of holes in it so that I could thread a button on the top with some jute string.
The ribbon is actually two ribbons layered up and I've added some square brads to each end to tie in with the square on it's corner in the sketch.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Waving at everyone I met yesterday - it was lovely to meet every single one of you!! xx

Stunning masculine design Jane, I love the way you have toned down the blues and reds of the patterned paper with your inking, so glad you had a nice day yesterday - I was nervous for you hon, I knew you would do fabulous but I also know how it feels to be under scrutiny, glad you got chance to relax and enjoy, you are so very talented XXX

So pleased Ally Pally went well for you Jane. Love the composition of this card and of course the colouring is fab. All that practice has made for perfection! You must have lots of images coloured ready for cards too!! If your kind hubby keeps going with you to demos you'll have to buy him a Nintendo DSI - that'll keep him so busy he'll be volunteering every week to drive ! We're missing you on a Saturday afternoon though - hope to see you soon for a good catch-up xxx
