I'm so excited and also rather nervous!!!! Today I am going to the BSSS in London (hopefully I'm halfway there when this posts LOL). As if that wasn't exciting enough I was asked earlier in the week by Katharina if I would demonstrate my colouring on the Whiff of Joy stand!!!!!!!!!!! Arghh!!!!!!!!!! how cool is that!?!?!?! I've been panicking ever since I said yes though as to what image to colour and if I should demonstrate copics, distress inks or both, and after much deliberating (thanks Mina) I decided on copics. I wanted to make a sample card of the image and then I shall demonstrate how I coloured the image at the show!! I used the gorgeous sketch from Dawny P at Papertake Weekly challenge (thanks hun!). Aren't these papers gorgeous! I nearly couldn't tear them! They are from MME's Quite Contrary range and they are so lush! I've distressed the edges with vicky velvet distress ink as I call it (Victorian Velvet) and stickled them too.
I've coloured Dancing Willow with copics and added some stickles to her shoes, belt, bag and necklace. I've cut her out with a deckled rectangle nestie (how on earth I managed for a full year without these I'll never know LOL) and then mounted the image onto card with distressed edges.
The flower is a combination of a Prima flower and some flowers punched from the paper with EK success retro flower punches. The fibres are from my stash and the brad and pins are from the Hobby House. The swirls were punched with EK success swirl flourish punch.
I used MS daisy edging punch along the horizontal strip and a burgundy ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is from a Forever Friends sentiments kit and I've inked the edges and mounted it onto distressed card.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! If you're going to the BSSS and see me colouring away please be gentle with me as it is my first time demonstrating LOL!!! xx
