Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Door Hanger

It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy challenge and we have a really fun challenge for you this fortnight. We'd like to see you make a door hanger. Personally I love making these as little gifts and I've also made some for my children's bedroom doors and they love them. I have made this one to be put on a door when someone is reading or studying and wants a bit of peace and quiet LOL! The papers are MME So Sophie distressed with walnut stain distress ink and stickled.

I have coloured Willow writing Recipes from Whiff of Joy with copics and have given her red hair like myself - maybe I can use this door hanger to get some peace and quiet myself LOL!

I added a spray of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts all sprayed with glimmer mist. The olive green roses were white and I've inked the edges with crushed olive distress ink. The gorgeous pins are from Whiff of Joy.

I added a bow with this gorgeous stitched grosgrain ribbon from the Hobby House and to add interest to the top I cut it with part of a nestie.

I intended to put "sh!" onto the door hanger itself but as the image is quite large I couldn't fit it on so I used the circle cut out from the hanger and added it with some jump rings and chain from Whiff of Joy. The letters are from my stash and I've covered them with picket fence crackle paint and inked lightly with walnut stain distress ink.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Whiff of Joy challenge. Pop and see what the rest of the team have created - they're all so amazing and such different designs! Thanks for looking! x
