At LAST I got my hands on the gorgeous Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pad. I've wanted this ever since it came out but always seem to find something else to spend my money on but hubby gave it to me as one of my birthday presents!! As you can see I've used papers from the grey section of the pad and distressed them all with walnut stain distress ink and Tim's distressing tool!
This wonderful image is Charlotte and Pidgeon from Whiff of Joy. The letter part is blank so that you can add your own messages, the image comes with a selection to chose from. I've used the Birthday Mail one! I've coloured the image with copics and then coloured the whole background with copics too to create a sky.
I originally intended to keep the card in greys, blues and whites and have it as a male birthday card but when I was hunting for suitable embellishments these gorgeous orange Hero Arts flowers jumped out at me and I just loved the zingy contrast they gave to all the grey! I've sprayed them all with pearl glimmer mist. Not sure what make the chipboard circle is that I've used for the flower centre but I know it came from Simon Says Stamp LOL!! The ribbon and jute string are from my stash.
Hope you like it and can join us this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of my teamies' amazing creations!! Thanks for looking! x
