Whiff of Joy DT - Winter Buddies

Hope you had a great weekend. I suddenly decided I didn't like how my dining room was decorated so hubby stripped the wallpaper and I spent most of yesterday painting and still have lots more to do and I so dislike all the disruption to the whole house when you decorate! Today I have another of the new images from Whiff of Joy to show you called Winter Buddies. I'm not entirely sure about this card. I wanted to have a go at creating the shine of the fairy lights and not quite sure I've succeeded. I think the sky is too dark and to be honest I think I will probably recolour the image and replace it. I've used papers from the new Whiff of Joy Winter Pretties paper pad and some leftover scraps of the one that I'd customised with sentiment stamps for a previous card. I've inked all the edges with walnut stain distress ink.

I've coloured the image with copics and added some glossy accents to the bulbs of the fairy lights for a more realistic look.
I added a snowflake layered with flowers. The chiffon flower is from The Hobby House.

The gorgeous white leaf ribbon was a find from a local craft store, wish I'd got more of it now as I think it is going to be perfect for Christmas cards. I also added some gems from The Hobby House.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
