Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Sparkle and Swirls! and Whiff of Joy preview!

Woohoo!! It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges and this fortnight we have theme challenge for you which is "Sparkle and Swirls" - a lush combination! I used some scraps of paper from my stash and inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink.

How utterly gorgeous is this new image by Norma Fickel from Whiff of Joy!?!? She will be released on 1st October and I must say she's my absolute favourite of the new October images. She's so beautiful! I've coloured her with copics and added stickles to her wings and halo.

The gorgeous swirl was cut with a sizzix die from kraft cardstock and I added a Prima poinsettia and a rose from my stash. The gorgeous pearl brad is from Whiff of Joy.

I added another poinsettia and brad along with a crysanthemum flower and some punched leaves and a cute little button and twine to fasten the sentiment tag.

I created some paper lace using a Martha Stewart punch and added some gems from The Hobby House for some sparkle.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Whiff of Joy challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the team's stunning cards! Thanks for looking! x

The Pixie Cottage GDT - Pop it up!

Today I have my final card as guest designer for The Pixie Cottage to share with you. I'd like to thank Michelle for my time as a guest, it has been such fun creating with these cute stamps! I think this is my favourite of the four cards I've created. How cute is this little moo cow?? The papers are some scraps from my stash, sorry, I can't remember who they were made by. The theme this week at the Pixie Cottage challenge is pop it up....

....and so I decided to make a sliding pop up card. I have made one of these before and rememberd how to create it but I can't find the post right now. I'll update this if I find the link to the tutorial I followed the first time!
I've coloured Udderly Adorable Boy by Alisa Ramirez with copics.

I cut several stars with a sizzix die and added a button from my stash with some button twine from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop as is the gorgeous blue seam binding.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and I stamped it onto a scrap of the backing paper for a coordinated look.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join in at the Pixie Cottage challenge! Thanks for looking! x

Crafts & Me and Deep Ocean Challenge DT - Birthdays

Woohoo! It is time for another challenge at Deep Ocean Challenges and this fortnight our theme is birthdays! I have used one of Crafts and Me's stunning new images as it is also my turn to post on the Crafts and Me blog! The paper is a scrap from my stash without a name.

I have coloured Birth of Twilight with copics and added stickles to her dress and wings. I stamped a Stempelglede grunge stamp around the edges in weathered wood distress ink.

I added some flowers from my stash and some crystal wire stems to the centre of the white one as they resembled her head dress!

The sentiment is by Stempelglede from the Just a Note set and the butterflies were all punched with Martha Stewart punches.

The seam binding is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and I have added a button and gem from my stash. I added some flower stamens to all the butterflies and then covered the centre with liquid pearls.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Deep Ocean Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning cards. Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy DT - Friendship

Woohoo! Today it is my turn to create for the Sundays With Crissy challenge which this month is "Friendship". I have used papers by MME for my card, all distressed with walnut stain distres ink.

How cute is this new image by Crissy available at Whimsy Stamps!?!? The image is called Frog Friends - just adorable! I've coloured the image with copics.

I used a Tim Holtz die for the tree and added some stylised leaves in the form of green buttons! I added a dragonfly charm from my stash with some button twine.

The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps and I threaded the tag to the card with some more button twine.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Sundays With Crissy! There are still a few more days left if you want to join in! Thanks for looking! x

Fizzy Moon Christmas card!

Gosh, it seems like forever since I've posted as although I have had posts almost every day last week they were all scheduled almost two weeks ago so this is my first "live" post in a long while! I thought I would share another Fizzy Moon Christmas card with you that I created for The Hobby House recently.

I adore this Fizzy Moon image - so adorable and perfect for cards for couples!! It is available from The Hobby House if you want to grab your own! I've coloured the cuties with copics and added stickles here and there for that all important Christmas sparkle!

The sentiment comes with the stamp and the pearl heart is from The Hobby House as do the tiny pearls around the heart cut out.

The gorgeous glittered vellum is also from The Hobby House along with the ribbon, tiny little ready made bow and the gem I added to the centre.

Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT - Fancy Folds

Woohoo! It is time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and this week we would like to see your fancy folds! I have made an accordian card after being totally wowed by the one my friend Kylie created a few weeks ago! The papers are by MME and I've edged them all with stickles.

This is my absolute favourite Magnolia christmas image (so far LOL) so I just had to use her when choosing my images for this card! I've coloured her with copics and added stickles to her star and headband.
I embossed the magnolia christmas sentiment stamp with silver embossing powder and inked the edges with bundled sage distress ink. The gorgeous snowflake was cut with my new doohickey die which was a birthday present from my husband.

I added a poinsettia and some roses from my stash along with a crystal wire stem from Hobbycraft. The border along the top was cut with a Martha Stewart punch.

This is how the card opens out. I stamped the winter forest stamp onto some green cardstock before cutting out and covering the branches with snow using a snow writer pen.

I coloured Tilda with violin with copics too and added stickles to her wings. Don't you just love her curls? The gorgeous glittery rik rak is from my stash - I wish I knew where it was from as I'd love some more for my christmas cards!!

Here's a close up of the snowy trees - the snow writer pen makes them look so real!

On the back of the card I added gingerbread Tilda and a tag for a message.

I coloured Tilda with copics of course and added stickles to her outfit and some of the gingerbreads.
The tag was cut with the doohickey dream tag and I added some chiffon crinkle ribbon from my stash topped with a snowflake.

The gorgeous sentiment is by Stempelglede and I've embossed it in silver.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge! Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning cards! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Norma Fickel Gnomes!!

I'm so excited to share my Whiff of Joy preview card with you today. Katharina is once again bringing us some gorgeous images on 1st October and lots of other exciting products too - just wait until you see the amazing background stamps! I have used one of them on my card today along with this oh so cute gnome by Norma Fickel - I do love Norma's images and there's two more that are equally gorgeous!

I have coloured the image with copics and added stickles to the stars and around his feet.

The pennants are a new die that will be released on 1st October also. All three come together in a set - they don't have the holes, I punched those myself so that I could thread them onto some of Whiff of Joy's button twine! I'm rather pleased with the letters - would you believe they started out as plain sugar pink stickers?? I've inked them, distress embossed them and spritzed them with gold cosmic shimmer - they're so sparkly! OK, now you see the spotty kraft paper?? I have created that with one of the new background stamps!! Isn't it great?? This is one of the spotty backgrounds but there are also some gorgeous text backgrounds I'll share with you on another card soon! They line up perfectly to be able to stamp a full page too!

I also added a Magnolia sentiment and some stars cut with a sizzix die.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! Enjoy your weekend! x
