Whiff of Joy DT - A Trio of Princesses!

Today's project I'm sharing was a true labour of love for my little girl's bedroom! I am thrilled that Katharina trusts me to colour the stamp kit images for the Whiff of Joy packaging - which, of course, means I am privy to them before anyone else, but also, it means that the images I colour become pretty special to me and as such I wanted to create a keepsake with them rather than cards. Please note that the images on this canvas are larger than the stamps available - I coloured these before I knew the final size of the finished stamps and so they are larger, much larger in the case of the shoe and cushion! Don't want to give any false impressions to anyone :)! I have created my picture on a long canvas from Windsor & Newton which I first covered with some princess crown paper by Magnolia. I painted the edges of the paper with white acrylic paint to distress them. Here's some close ups and details:

Firstly I have used the gorgeous Rapunzel, who is now available separately complete with a sentiment. I've coloured her with copics. I created all the frames for the princesses using a nestie which I had to cut out several times to create a frame large enough. I have cut around the end of Rapunzel's hat veil so that it could sit proud of the frame rather than being covered up.

The princess crown is the only image on here that is the same size as the stamp you can buy. This is now available in a set with the shoe and cushion. The crown is mounted onto a chipboard heart that I painted with crackle paint. The gorgeous flower is by Prima and I added leaves cut with a doohickey die.

In this close up you can see that I have added glossy accents to the jewels on the crown - this gives them such a realistic look!

The sentiment is now available in a set with the gorgeous Snow White. I've stamped it with victorian velvet distress ink. I added lots of gorgeous flowers from my stash and a Prima butterfly.

Here's Snow White herself - I think she's my favourite from this new collection - so, so beautiful! Again, I've coloured her with copics.

I added more gorgeous flowers and a smaller Prima butterfly between Snow White and the next gorgeous princess. The beautiful aida flower is by Prima.

Last, but not least, I have used the stunning Cinderella who also comes with a sentiment. She was coloured with copics also. In this photo you can see how I have embellished each frame with three rhinestones at the bottom and a heart shaped rhinestone at the top. There is also a rhinestone in each corner.

I have added the all important glass slipper on a cushion to the right of Cinderella - again, please note that this is a lot larger than the stamp you can now buy. The smaller version comes in a set with the crown. Again I added lots of gorgeous flowers and doohickey leaves.
I just had to add glossy accents to the glass slipper - it looks so real now - I love it! Now my picture just needs to find it's way off the windosill and onto my daughter's bedroom wall :) - man with drill required for that LOL! I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whereas I am admiring every post, I don't have time unfortunately to comment on them all. I could not, however, not comment on this. It's stunning! Beautiful, beautiful images, beautiful, beautiful colour work and your careful glazing is perfect! Stunning work! Hugs, Lesley
