Well, I'm here at last with my project for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge which should have been posted on Saturday!!! I've had major computer melt down the last couple of weeks and after borrowing two that were too ancient to cope with what I need to do I now have borrowed my Dad's which is working brilliantly except I struggled to get my photos loaded onto it and now I can't get my photo editing program on it so these photos are really not good but at least they're here!! Our challenge this week is to make or decorate a gift box. I've created a tissue box cover - but it is a gift to myself as these papers have been saved for something special for a long time lol!! They are Prima Flutterby papers - totally gorgeous and with my all time favourite butterflies on it!!
Here's a view so that you can see the cut out for the tissues - I can't take a straight photo to save my life lol - really need to get my editing program sorted out!
The decoration is very clean and simple. I simply cut an oval from kraft cardstock and mounted it onto the box with foam pads. Then, I have stamped the Heart Text stamp and embossed it onto a pink spotty paper from the same paper collection and cut out just the heart, and then mounted that onto the oval on foam pads too. The ribbon is from Whiff of Joy and the button is from The Hobby House.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges! My gorgeous team mates have created some stunning inspiration for you - pop over to the blog and have a look! Thanks for looking! x
