Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT - All About Books

It is time for another fun challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and this week our theme is "All About Books".  You can make a bookmark, a card inspired by a book/fairytale or a book card as I have done.  I have used one of the gorgeous new papers from the Magnolia Christmas collection for my book card and lots of the stamps from the Nativity Collection.

 I've masked Holy Edwin #126 and Tilda with Holy Baby #3063 together for the front cover and coloured them with copics.

 The sentiment is also by Magnolia and I cut the star with a Sizzix die.

 The gorgeous ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and the flowers and snowflake are from my stash.

 The back of the book card simply has my personal stamp framed with a scalloped circle.

 Inside I decided to do something a little different (at least I have never seen it myself but it is not necessarily a new idea).  I created another page for the book so I could use more images!  On the left I have used the doohickey tag and wings dies and on the right I created a little scene with three more nativity stamps: Holy Tilda with Lamb #3018, Edwin with Goat #125 and Holy Lamb #427.

 When you turn the page there is another scene in the nativity story.  For this I have masked together Tilda as a Wiseman, Edwin as Wiseman #116 and Angel Tilda with Gloria #3012  (I wish there was a third wiseman in this set!).  On the right, as you can see, you finally get to the little compartment that can hold some chocolates or other small gift.

 I have topped the "pages" with some lace.

 The spine of the book is also decorated with the Magnolia paper.
