My December Daily Book!

I'm so excited to show you my December Daily Book for this year!!  Last year's was a bit of a disaster in that I couldn't print any photos and so ended up doing the whole thing after the event which took the shine off it somewhat.  I do love the end result of it though so was determined to do a better job of it this year!  As soon as I saw my gorgeous friend Debbie's book last week I knew I wanted to create one to keep my December Daily photos in!  I followed the same tutorial as Debbie did here by Amy from Stampin' Stuff.  I also knew exactly which papers I wanted to use - by Webster's Pages of course, from their Winter's Wings range which I have hoarded for a long time under the "far too beautiful to give away therefore must use for myself" heading lol!!!  Don't you wish your favourite paper ranges were never discontinued??  I certainly do with this one!
I ummed and ahhed for a long time over the embellishment for the front cover - trying all sorts and finally decided that I loved this combination of a golden snowflake christmas decoration topped with a Webster's pages bloom and resin buterfly.  I have given the butterfly a touch of shimmer with a bronze and gold luster rub on paste.
The numbers are from Webster's Pages too and I also managed to talk myself into using some gorgeous  Tim Holtz metal corners that I've also been hoarding, and I'm so glad I did as they look so beautiful!
I used an old cushion cover that had become threadbare for the spine of the book. I have added gold and bronze luster rub one paste here and there on this too for a gorgeous gilded antique kind of look!  The stunning glittery lace is from Webster's Pages too.
I have used some more Webster's Pages numbers along the spine of the book so that it can be stored upright  on a shelf.
Another shot - can you tell I love this project lol?
I have my matching papers all ready and waiting for the 1st December and can't wait to get started!  I'm hoping I'll manage to do each page on the day this year but we'll see!
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
