The Sketchy Challenges DT - My Sketch

Woohoo!!!  It is time for another challenge at The Sketchy Challenges and this fortnight it is my turn to provide the sketch, so I hope you like it and will join us!  OMG I am so in love with this little cutie from the Christmas Story Collection!  Isn't she gorgeous!?  What's great about her is she can be used all year round too - I'm thinking she would be perfect for a Mother's Day card!  I have used a complete mix of paper scraps from my stash - I'm really trying to use them all as the pile is getting ridiculous!  They are all edged with gathered twigs distress ink.
Here's a close up of the darling little Joyful Tilda #351, coloured with copics.  I've added liquid pearls to the teapot lid and the flowers in her hair which gives it a lovely touch of dimension.
I have used part of a snowflake decoration behind some of the papers for the semi circle element of my sketch and the other snowflakes were cut with a Tim Holtz die.
The gorgeous sentiment is also from Magnolia and is one of my favourite Christmas sentiments.  I have also used the super gorgeous new Christmas Lace doohickey #DH36 along the bottom of the image.
I have used some cheesecloth behind the papers and stamped the Jingle Jangle Snowflake #432 stamp around the edges of the image with gathered twigs distress ink.
I have added a bow of lace from my stash, a little wooden heart button and twine and a gorgeous snowflake charm from Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at The Sketchy Challenges.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend! x
