The Sketchy Challenges DT - Chantal's Sketch

Woohoo!!  It is time for another fabulous sketch at The Sketchy Challenges and this fortnight Chantal has designed a gorgeous one!!  We are sponsored this fortnight by the amazing Krista from Saturated Canary and she has very generously provided our team with an image each to use.  I have chosen Pricilla Pie as I just adore her hair and gorgeous outfit!  The papers are some scraps from my stash without names but I think they might be by Kaisercraft.  I have used the gorgeous colour combo from Colour Create Challenge of deep purple, bright green and cream.
I've coloured her with copics and added some stickles to her diamond ring and her shoes.  I've inked around the image mat with victorian velvet distress ink.
I used Magnolia's peony doohickey for my flowers and lots of buttons from my stash.  The bow was created with a scrap of lace and a flower from Hobby Craft.  The twine in the buttons is from Whiff of Joy.
The doily is from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and the pearls in the corners are from my stash.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at The Sketchy Challenges.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Blog Hop

Woohoo!!  Welcome to the Whiff of Joy Blog Hop!  You should have arrived at my blog from Angie's blog, if not, you might want to start at the beginning on Katharina's blog as there are prizes on every blog!  I have created a set for a baby girl using some of the new products released in March.
I used the super cute "Precious" image - how cute is Henry cuddling his little baby!?  I've coloured them with copics and I inked around the edge of the image mat with victorian velvet distress ink.
The "Hallo Baby" sentiment was cut with the fabulous new die "Hallo Baby duo set of dies".  I know I'm going to be using these all the time for my baby cards and scrap book projects!
I created some "building blocks" from white cardstock and topped each one with a different baby themed die cut using the new "Bundle of Joy" dies.  These are so cute - love them all - and you get a heart die thrown in for free by using the waste heart out of the baby vest!  I've used it next to the sentiment and the image.
The gorgeous satin ribbon is from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  I also used the "Dancing Hearts" border die from Whiff of Joy along the top of the darker pink spotty paper.
I made a little gift box to look like a baby's building block and added some more of the cute die cuts around the sides.  The "Hallo Baby" sentiment is on an acetate tag cut with the "Sweet Tags" die - I think you can just about see the reinforced hole and heart border along the bottom of the tag in the photo!
I added a Prima flower to the top of the box with some more satin ribbon and a button from my stash.  Can you see the rattle die cut?  I think that's my favourite, it comes with the Hallo Baby die.  The box is just big enough to hold some cute little baby socks or perhaps a bib.
I hope you've enjoyed your visit to my blog!  Leave a comment and you will be in the draw to win your own "Precious" stamp that I have used on my card.  Now it's time to hop on over to Colleen's blog for some more Whiff of Joy inspiration!  Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy Challenge DT - Spring is in the Air

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy challenges and this fortnight we have a fabulous theme of  Spring is in the Air.  I have used the gorgeous Strawberry Girl by Norma Fickel for my card - she is available at a reduced price right now but is on clearance so hurry if you want her as when she's gone she's really gone!  I was really inspired by the gorgeous photo and colour challenge at Colour Create of pink, sage, blue and cream/white - such a gorgeous spring combination!  I'm also entering the Wild Orchid Crafts bingo challenge - I have used the line pins, buttons and ribbon/lace.  Sorry about the rubbish photos, I'm really struggling to find a light enough place in my house these days - the sun is shining brightly today and this is the best I could get!!  I'm thinking of getting a light tent but have heard mixed reviews - if any of you use one and love it I'd be really grateful for advice!
I coloured Strawberry Girl with copics and added stickles to the strawberry vines and seeds as well as her headband.  I inked around the edge with victorian velvet distress ink.  The gorgeous lace is a scrap from my stash.
The gorgeous ribbon is from Whiff of Joy as is the gold pin - love Katharina's pins as they don't have sharp points on them!  The button is from my stash and the twine is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  I gave the card a pretty edge with some fancy edging scissors that were actually free with a magazine - can't go wrong there can you lol!
I added a mix of flat paper flowers and a gorgeous rose and blossom from Wild Orchid Crafts - couldn't resist adding a touch of stickles to them too!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Whiff of Joy Challenge!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning spring cards!  Thanks for looking! x

Deep Ocean Challenge DT - Masking

Woohoo!!  My final post for today.  This time it is for Deep Ocean Challenges and our theme this fortnight is masking or using more than one image.  I have a few images that are perfect for masking together that I haven't inked up yet and decided upon the gorgeous Tilda as Star and Sweet Moon from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  I cut the circular card with a Go Create die.
I masked Tilda as a Star #258 and Sweet Moon #542 together and coloured them with copics.  I stickled Tilda's entire outfit - well if she's a star she needs to sparkle doesn't she lol!?
I made the blue rose myself from some paper ribbon and the other flowers and feather are from my stash.  The charm is from The Hobby House and I made the pin myself from a bead and small pin.
The stars were all cut with a sizzix die and the swirls were cut with the doohickey Leaf and Swirl die #4.  I covered all the stars with stickles too.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Deep Ocean Challenge!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  Thanks for looking! x

Sundays With Crissy Challenge DT - Animals

Woohoo!  I'm back with my second project for today.  It is my turn to create for the Sundays With Crissy challenge and this month our theme is "Animals".   I had great fun creating this easel card to look like a pond and lily pad for Crissy's handsome "Frog Prince" digi from Whimsy Stamps.  It is made just like an ordinary easel card except I cut the easel part as a thin strip so it is hidden by the frog.
I've coloured the image with copics and added some stickles to the jewel on his crown.
I cut the lily pad freehand from some coredinations cardstock and the lily flower was created with some poinsettia flowers cut with a Marianne Creatables die.  I then added some stamens from my stash.
I created a little sign and have written the Hoppy  Birthday myself.  Although there is the lily flower I think this card could still be given to a man - what do you think??
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month at Sundays With Crissy Challenge.  You still have a few more days left to enter!  Thanks for looking! x

Magnolia-Licious Challenge DT - Photo Inspiration Challenge

Woohoo!!  Did you miss me??  I have been so stressed out and upset the last couple of weeks and just haven't been able to create at all.  Finally on Sunday I felt like a spot of crafting would relax me and managed to make a couple of projects.  I am going to be a little like a bus today - nothing and then three come at once!  This is my first project to share today, I hope you will be able to pop back later to see the other two!  It is time for another fabulous challenge at Magnolia-Licious Challenge and we have the most gorgeous photo inspiration for you all.  I decided to create a cute little Easter basket following Lena-Katrine's tutorial here, I just made mine a little smaller by missing out one of the paper strips.  Don't you love the cute little bunny too??  We bought my little girl it for her birthday and it just had to make it's way into my photo when she wasn't looking!  I have used two of the gorgeous new images from the Princes and Princesses collection on my basket.  On the front I have used Sweet Princess Tilda #299 and coloured her with copics.
On the back of the basket we have Princess Party Tilda #273 also coloured with copics.  Diana also has the mini Princes and Princesses collection and as always there are amazing prices!!
This is one of the sides of the basket.  The border along the bottom has cute little Easter bunnies hopping around it - it is a Martha Stewart punch.  The gorgeous vine ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, as is the pink ribbon on the handle and the button twine.
Finally, the other side of the basket.  I have also used the doohickey Tilda Lace die #3 around the top of the basket.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Magnolia-Licious Challenge!  Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the team's stunning creations!  As always Diana is offering the amazing prize of $25 gift certificate for the Magnolia-Licious store!!
Thanks for looking! x

Deep Ocean Challenge DT - Butterflies

Well, I am extremely late with this post but I thought I would use it to remind you that you still have a few more days left to enter our challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge.  Our theme is Butterflies - one of my favourite things!  I have decorated a Kaisercraft Beyond The Page Ribbon holder for my craft room using Kaisercraft paints and papers.  The photo above is the top of it - it's hard to photograph as it is so large.
This is the front view which I have painted only - would have been a nightmare papering with all those holes!
The gorgeous chipboard swirl is from Bo Bunny and I have added some little metal filigree butterflies from The Hobby House which I painted with white acrylic paint.
I have added a selection of flowers from my stash.  The large one is from Prima, the duck egg blue resin rose is from Kaisercraft, the gorgeous daisy was a gift from my lovely friend Louise, the white rosebud I'm not sure LOL and the rest are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Deep Ocean Challenge!  Thanks for looking! x

Magnolia-Licious Challenge DT - Three Colours of the Rainbow

Woohoo!!  It is time for another challenge at Magnolia-Licious Challenge and this fortnight my talented team mate Angela is challenging us to use at least three colours of the rainbow.  These super gorgeous Girl's Paperie papers came to mind immediately as they have almost every colour of the rainbow on them!  I've distressed the edges with a paper distressing tool, sewn them and added stickles.  I've followed the gorgeous sketch at Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge for my layout.
Isn't Tilda With Floating Hearts #3047 gorgeous!?!?  She's such a cutie pie.  I've coloured her with copics and added stickles to the lace on her top an d shoes and, of course, her wings.  The pretty lace is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
I added a heart cut with a sizzix die and a button from my stash.  The button twine is also from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
I created the flower with some pretty heart material which was a gift from my lovely friend Gio.  The heart pins were also a gift from my lovely friend Louise!  I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends!
The Sending Love sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and I also stamped the love corner stamp from Magnolia around the image mat with victorian velvet distress ink.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this fortnight at Magnolia-Licious Challenge!  As always, Diana is offering a fabulous $25 voucher for the Magnolia-Licious store!  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's stunning rainbow creations!  Thanks for looking! x

Tickled Pink Stamps DT - Around The World Blog Hop

Woohoo!!  Welcome to the Tickled Pink Stamps Around the World Blog Hop to celebrate the new release!!  You should have arrived here from the the lovely Debbie's blog, if not, and you want to start the hop from the beginning (and why wouldn't you, there are prizes on every blog :)!!) then pop back to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog here.  As you can see you've landed in Holland for my card with the gorgeous Lil Dutch Lolita Lylah.  I have created a mini Holland for Lylah with her own tulip field and windmill :).
I have coloured Lylah with copics, which I've also used to create the field of tulips she's standing in.
Here's a closer look at the tulip field.  I've also used a white gel pen here and there.
On the back step of the stair step card I've added the windmill, complete with turning sails.
To make the sails look a little more realistic I've added little shutter slots to them.
The card still folds flat for posting like so!
I hope you like it!  Now it is time to hop on over to another country on the lovely Jeanette's blog!  Thanks for looking! x
