February Prima BAP

Morning!  I can't believe we're half way through the half-term holiday already, time really does fly when you're having fun!  We spent yesterday creating with paper mache - sooooo messy but good fun!  Today I want to share with you a page I've made for Prima's February Build a Page sketch. Since I joined in for the first time last month I've decided I'm going to try to enter every month.  I love having a layout sketch to work to.  I started this one with a clean white cardstock so that I could have a play with textures and layers, adding colour with lots of gorgeous Prima flowers, a scrap of Prima paper and a Prima notelet.
As you can see I have some quite grungy raised areas on this layout.  I started by laying a piece of white netting on the page and then smudged on dollops of Paper Perfect here and there.  Next I sprinkled pinches of Perfect Pearls Powder here and there in gorgeous pink and purple and then sprayed with pearl Perfect Pearls Mist to set the powder.
On top of that I added a Prima notelet, a scrap of Prima paper and some cheesecloth for a bit more texture. The gorgeous resin corner is from Prima too.
The cluster of flowers are all Prima except the little blossoms, they are from Ribbon Girl.  I made the leaves from some Mulberry paper and added some purple Perfect Pearls Powder to create a leaf vein.
For the edge elements on the BAP sketch I've scrunched up the paper and added some lace underneath.  The pink paper peeping out is from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pad.
All the alphabet stickers I tried out looked too heavy and detracted from the photo so I made my own wording with some embroidery thread and the "girl" sticker is a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.

The swirl is a flourish cut with a Tim Holtz die and painted with picket fence crackle paint.
The cute little ribbon tab is from Melissa Frances, completing the title of my page - "Daddy's girl forever", and she certainly is, of course!
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
