Woohoo!!! It's a special day today!! You may have noticed a few changes to the blog at Magnolia-Licious Challenge lately. Diana is now stocking the gorgeous Wee Stamps too so Diana's teams have merged together to play as one big team!! Our first challenge is birthdays. It is my daughter's birthday soon and she has been asking for such a long time now "how long to my birthday?". Before Christmas I kept telling her it wasn't until after Christmas, so then she has thought it is going to be every day since Christmas lol! So, to cut out her confusion and also hopefully teach her some numbers at the same time I've made her a little countdown card!
I have coloured Tilda with copics and added stickles to her wings. I've inked around the image with tattered rose distress ink and then I've done some heat embossing with sea foam embossing powder and a Stempelglede stamp.
I added some cheesecloth behind the image and some lace and a cameo from my stash.
I masked off words from several different stamps in my stash to create the wording.
On the bottom of the easel I have also stamped and embossed the Stempelglede stamp around the edges to match the easel part of the card. Now for the fun part!! I cut 41 tickets using the Tilda's Ticket die and stamped numbers onto each one using some number stamps from Whiff of Joy. I've inked the edges of the tickets and then punched holes through the tab part of the tickets so that I could thread them all onto some seam binding tied in a bow. So each night before she goes to bed she can tear off a ticket and know how many days there are left until her birthday!!! I hope she doesn't get too disheartened when she sees the huge pile of tickets, bless her!!! At least it will be exciting when it gets nearer the day!I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Magnolia-Licious and Wee Stamps Challenge! Pop on over to the blog too find out more details about our new challenges and see the rest of the team's stunning creations!! Thanks for looking! x

Hi Jane,
You make the most beautiful things!!
I love your card and of course so will your daughter. I think it is such a GREAT idea for her to be able to take off a number each day. Your colouring is so so soft and wonderful - your papers too!! I have wanted that Stampinglade ( sp) stamp for a very long time; but the lady is sick and it is out of stock :o( Gorgeous design.
