To create the white areas for this light source I used a technique I learnt from Tim Holtz himself on a workshop with him. You cover the areas you want to distress with tape and then tear it back off, taking some of the top layer of paper with it. I love how it turned out and it makes a change from painting the white areas with gesso!
Next I took a Hero Arts stamp and some black ink to stamp over the torn off areas to extend the tree line in my photo out onto the page.
I had a tonne of flowers picked out for this page and then decided they didn't fit the theme of the photo - this was a late winter walk after all! - so instead I settled on some gorgeous Prima leaves and a piece of vine to keep with the sparse forest in the photo. The letters are by BoBunny and I inked the edges with gathered twigs distress ink.
I love these Prima vines, they look so amazing on their own and with other flowers!
I kept my journalling simple and added some chit chat stickers from Tim Holtz and the word "woods" was created with Webster's Pages stickers.
I added another piece of vine above the photos trailing off the page to balance the greenery at the bottom of the page.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
