Good morning! I hope you have a lovely weekend planned. Ours is a busy one - thank goodness for scheduled posts! I'm very excited to show you today's card which was inspired by my Magnolia Down Under Challenge project that you will see later on this evening. I am entering it into The Shabby Tea Room's challenge which is "Sweet as Sugar", use pink, blue and white (or cream) with flowers.
I have used the stunning Tripping Flower Tilda #393 and coloured her with copics.
Can you see how my image mat looks like an old oil painting that is beginning to show the cracks of age? This is the part of my card that was inspired by my other creation that you will see later on this evening. What do you think? I love the vintage look it gives! I created the background scenery with copics too using techniques copied from a book I have about Japanese ink painting.
I added some pearl strings from The Ribbon Girl in the top left corner along with some charms from my stash which I have rubbed with liquid pearls to imitate cloisonne.
I am so in love with this new Orchid die #92. I've used it on so many projects since I bought it. I have lots of orchids, all be it of the silk variety lol, around my home and have always wanted to use them on my cards and projects! I've also used the Lovely Lace die around the edges of the card.
The gorgeous pink lily flowers and the birdcage charm were lovely gifts from my friend Chelsea. I've also painted the little bird with liquid pearls.
I've used both sizes of orchid die on the bottom of the card and the gorgeous pleated ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl too.
The seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl and the pins are from my stash.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking. Have a great weekend whatever you're up to! x
