Good morning!! It is the last day of school here today so a somewhat exciting day :). I personally cannot wait for a lie in tomorrow morning lol! As always I had left the actual wrapping of my children's teacher thank you gifts to the last minute and created these rather swiftly yesterday afternoon! I love how they turned out though and have plans to revisit the idea in a less hurried fashion very soon.
To create the backgrounds on the tags I first stamped a Tim Holtz flourish stamp with embossing ink before embossing with clear powder so that when I inked over the tag it created a resist effect. I have inked the tags with Tattered Rose Distress Ink. I have then stamped a Hero Arts script stamp with Adirondack Ink in Cloudy Blue.
Next I used a gorgeous Stempelglede Stamp from the Vintage Garden collection and stamped with Adirondack Ink in Coffee. I have then added vague areas of colour to the flowers and leaves using a Prima Pastel Pink Chalk Edger and Peeled Paint Distress Ink. The edges have been distressed and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.I created the large wild roses with Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die using the wet cardstock technique. I have then inked the edges with the Prima Chalk Ink to tie them in with the roses on the tag.
Underneath each rose is a lace bow and I've added some cute apples from Live & Love Crafts for the traditional "apple for the teacher" theme.
The gorgeous pink ribbon is from my stash.
I've also added a white blossom to each tag. These are from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you like them and thanks for looking! x

Hi Jane! ❤
Oh hunni, this is sooooo beautiful!
Those teachers can consider themselves very lucky! You're so clever and you can create in any style :) Love the apples, never thought of the fact you can twirl the green stamens. I'm going to try that too ;) lol
Lots of love ❤
wow, they don't need a gift if they have these lovely tags - they;re really lovely! Mary x
