Fabulous Forty!

Woohoo!!  Good morning!  I didn't expect to be blogging today but then as I was cleaning up over the weekend I found the card I made for my hubby's birthday before Christmas and realised I hadn't blogged it!  As you will see, it is a similar style to the "Dad" card I posted in my last post.  This card was made first though and was the inspiration for the "Dad" card as everyone loved this one!  As with the other card I cut the card shape out by hand and used a Spellbinder oval for the centre of the "0".
When I was rummaging in a local store before Christmas I found this amazing stamp that is like an old bank date stamp style.  Not only can you change the date, there are also about 10 different sayings that you can also change to stamp next to the date or just stamp the date on its own!  It's so cool and is going to be ideal for scrapbook journalling!  It was really cheap too so I love it all round :)!!  I've attached it to the card with an eyelet for some added interest.
The stars were cut from gold glittered paper using a Sizzix die.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  I hope you can stop by later when I will have my first Magnolia Down Under card of the year to share - we've changed the day to a Tuesday morning Australian time, which means I'll now be posting mine on a Monday night!  Until then!  x
