Happy Birthday Dad

Good morning!  As promised today's card is rather different to my usual style of card.  I needed to make cards for my Father in Law and cute and cuddly are not really the order of the day!  I cut the card shape myself by hand after folding the card into three equal sections.  I also used an oval Spellbinders die to cut the central holes in the "a" and "d".  I covered the base with  papers from my stash, all inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The stars were cut from the reverse of the stripey paper with a Sizzix die.
The sentiment on the tag is from Whiff of Joy and I added an eyelet and some hemp string to tie it to the card.
I cut a larger oval from red cardstock and popped it on some 3D pads to the back of the "a" for some interest to the card as well as providing a large space for writing a message on the back of the card.
It all folds up to be posted too!  I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
