Stempelglede Stamps - Altered Bottle

Good morning!  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.  I have had a very busy time the past
few months and it has been over a month since I was able to create anything (the last few blog posts were created well in advance).  It was so relaxing to be able to sit at my craft desk on Friday and create this gift for my Mum's birthday.  I was inspired by the incredible bottles that Ingvild Bolme creates and have wanted to make one myself ever since I saw them.  My original idea was that I would suspend the necklace I bought inside the bottle but it didn't fit through the neck!
The second problem was I didn't have any pink alcohol ink, so, after Googling for ways to make your own and discovering I didn't have any of the necessary ingredients either I tried to make my own with vodka and food colouring - it doesn't work - because it doesn't dry hehehe!  So...pink alcohol ink is on my shopping list for my next crafty shop!  Anyway, let's get back to the bottle.  I did manage to tint it pink ever so slightly with my home made alcohol ink as you can see.  I have then used two Stempelglede stamps to emboss in bronze onto the bottle.
I used the French Script stamp from Postcard from Paris on the top of the bottle which was quite successful - it is very difficult to make a clear impression on the glass as it is such a smooth surface!
You can just see in the photo above that I also used one of the flower scroll stamps from Vintage Baby.  I used the Grunge Circle stamp from Grunge Collection for the paper circle and also the Vintage Postmark stamp from Follow Your Heart.
I used the stunning butterfly stamp from Vintage Baby to make the butterfly.  It is stamped onto coffee filter paper and coloured with Distress Ink Markers.  The little heart is from Live & Love Crafts.
I made the large flower using Peony Doohickey Dies, again using coffee filter paper and Distress Ink Marker.
The beautiful poppies are from Live & Love Crafts and I made the leaf stem myself using some green open weave material.
To create the paper bottle seal I stamped the Ornamental Butterfly Border from Ornamental Butterfly using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I have then stamped the Moment Bonheur sentiment from Postcard from Paris in black.  I gave the end of the seal a decorative edge by using part of a Spellbinders die.
The paper seal wraps over the lid...
...and down the back of the bottle.
The bottle had a not very attractive back ribbed screw cap so I embossed it with the bronze embossing powder.  It looks like a wax covered top now!
I used another paper circle for the back of the bottle and this is where I chose to attach the pendant that wouldn't fit inside the bottle.  I then draped the chain around the bottle and under the paper seal to keep it secure.
To cover the back of the flower I added a bark heart from Live & Love Crafts.
This is what the back of the bottle looks like when you remove the pendant.  I used the Made With Love sentiment from Just a Note on the paper circle too.
In total I used stamps from six different Stempelglede sets, which shows just how beautifully they all work together for vintage projects!  I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
