Stempelglede DT - Old Truck Birthday Card

 Good morning!  Today I'd like to share another card I've made using the gorgeous new stamp set from Stemeplglede, Steampunk Journey.  These stamps are great for men's cards - this one is for my Dad's birthday.

 I used the Old Truck stamp and painted it with Distress Inks.  This stamp makes me imagine a truck driving through the dirt of the forest hauling logs, so that set the theme for my card.

 I used the Tim Holtz Pine Tree die to make trees for the forest theme.

 I also used Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope die to create two envelopes as they remind me of my Dad's old wage packets from many moons ago.  I've fastened them with twine from my stash.

 I've used the Steampunk Gears and Raven stamp around the edges of the image mat and created lots of 'mud' splatters all over the card by splashing Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

 The rusty metal tag was a recent find when I was digging my garden to plant a new hedge.  I simply wrote DAD with a white gel pen.  To create the decorative strip behind the tag I've used the Gears and Tyre Treads stamp.

 I have made a piece of notepaper by punching the edge with an EK Success punch and added cheesecloth and gear charms to complete the look.
