Whiff of Joy challenge DT meets Lili of the Valley

At last it is time for another challenge at Whiff of Joy! It has seemed like such a long fortnight! We had lots more entries though which was lovely to see more joining in so thank you all! This fortnight we have a colour challenge for you, "yellow, brown and another colour". I have chosen yellow, brown and blue for my card using more gorgeous images from the 1001 nights Whiff of Joy kit. I love how all these stamps combine so well. My papers are Kaisercraft and I have distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and stickles. I have followed Bev's scrummy sketch at Lili of the Valley challenge - thanks hun, loved it!

I had great fun colouring this! I have masked together the gorgeous castle and a very Lawrence of Arabia looking Oakley and coloured them with copics. A first for me, I have coloured the whole image mat - the sand and sky are coloured with copics too. The little shoes are also from the kit, and again coloured with copics.

The text is from the kit too and I have stamped it with vintage photo distress ink. The gems are from the Hobby House.

I have punched the bottom edge with MS double loops punch and the top is cut with Tim Holtz scrollwork die. The ribbon is from my stash. It is actually yellow, though now it is teamed with the brown it looks quite gold! I stamped a Stempelglede flourish in the bottom corner with vintage photo distress ink.

Hope you like it and can join us this fortnight at Whiff of Joy challenge! Pop over to the challenge blog for some amazing inspiration from the rest of the DT! Thanks for looking! x
