Tickled Pink Stamps Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Tickled Pink Stamps Birthday Blog Hop,

What a month of previews, releases and giveaways Tickled Pink Stamps has had and now to top it all off a blog hop to go out with a BANG. To join the Pink Party of the year you can start HERE.... And WHY is this hop not to be missed? There is a major prize at the wind down of the party, by hopping along you have a chance to win EVERY stamp released during the month of October, that is over 15 stamps, including all the images and sentiments from the first release. If they come in rubber and you want rubber over digi, then you can have rubber. If they only came out in digi then digi it is, it's all up to you and your liking. AND want to know something else? There are hidden candies hiding in within the hop.

If you have come from Fran's blog then your on the right party line.

Here's my card for the hop! I decided to use the gorgeous Birthday Kellita and some scrummy Webster's Pages. They're actually Christmas papers but you can hardly notice the candy canes so I think I got away with it LOL! I distressed and sewed the edges of the papers and added stickles.

I coloured Kellita with copics and stitched around the image mat too. The butterflies were punched with Martha Stewart punches and I added some pearls from The Hobby House.

I created a flower spray with flowers from my stash, all sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and I added a Magnolia swirl and some leaves cut with the new Whiff of Joy leaves die. I inked the edges of the die cuts with walnut stain distress ink.

I decided to make a bit of a feature of the cupcakes by adding stickles to the icing on them all - yummm so gorgeous!

Hope you like my card and are enjoying the hop!

Now your next party stop is Jodie.

Thank you for joining the Tickled Pink Stamps hop and have FUN!!

Whiff of Joy DT - Angel with Trumpet!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Whiff of Joy previews, I knew you'd all love these new images - they're stunning aren't they!? The dies are all must haves too, what a fabulous release. Not long to wait now, they go on sale on 1st November (midnight 31st October to be exact). My final preview uses the stunning Angel with Trumpet image. I've used Webster's pages for my card again, hope you're not getting bored of seeing them (well how could you really, they're Webster's Pages LOL), these beauties haven't made it into the drawer yet, I'm loving using them so much! I have sewn the edges and distressed them with walnut stain distress ink and stickles.
I coloured the image with copics and added lots of stickles to his gorgeous angel wings. I stamped around the image with a Stempelglede stamp and antique linen distress ink.

My snowflakes are cut with the gorgeous new Whiff of Joy snowflake die, the three sizes come on the one die. The pearl brads are from The Hobby House and the lace is from my stash.

The beautiful gold snowflakes are from The Hobby House. They come like this, with a not quite complete finish and are great embossed or painted but for this distressed card I thought they worked really well in their unfinished state!
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - Winter Church preview!

I have another gorgeous preview for you from Whiff of Joy's new collection that will be released on 1st November. This image is "Winter Church". I wanted to make a winter scene on acetate to look like etched glass. I'm pretty pleased how it turned out in the end although I wish I'd had a larger nestie to cut the acetate.
I stamped the winter church with white stazon and then stamped the small snowflake from the Whiff of Joy winter kit 2009 over the top. I then stamped the corners and edges with some Stempelglede stamps. I added some tiny gems from The Hobby House for some extra snow flakes and sparkle. The black paper behind the acetate is by Webster's Pages and I've sewn gathered lace around the edge.
To finish the card I added a white satin ribbon with curled tails.
I am entering this card into Cute card thursday's challenge which is "transparent". Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Just Magnolia DT - Dawny's sketch

Friday at last! I'm loving Fridays at the moment as my husband is working away every week and comes home on Friday evenings, so not long to wait now! Of course Friday is also time for another challenge at Just Magnolia and this week we have another of Dawny's gorgeous sketches for you! I'm having a bad week for redoing cards this week. This is another second attempt card! Not because of Kara this time, I copied the sketch down and somehow had it with all the elements in the middle and it looked so unlike the sketch when I went to load it on the blog I thought I'd better redo it! I have used some more gorgeous Webster's pages on my card - I just had to use these when I saw the one with the "Dear Santa" list on it - perfect for this Edwin!

I have coloured Edwin with copics and stitched the image panel.

I stamped the Merry Christmas that is in the Magnolia autumn kit with walnut stain distress ink and cut the shape with a nestie. I decided to be brave and use one of my fancy stitches on my new sewing machine too!
The snowflakes have been cut with Whiff of Joy's new snowflakes die to be released on 1st November and the stocking charm and buttons are from The Hobby House.

Hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this week at Just Magnolia. The rest of the team have created the most stunning creations for you as always, pop over to the challenge blog for a peep! Thanks for looking! x

Tickled Pink Stamps DT - preview Lil birthday Luca

I have another fabulous Tickled Pink Stamps preview for you today. It is time to meet Lil Lad Luca and he is certainly a handsome chap, perfect for ladies cards!! I have made a dinner invitation in the form of a dinner jacket pocket card and am also entering it into the photo inspiration challenge at Everybody Art challenge! Someone is dressed up ready for dinner with their jacket, shirt and cravat LOL. Pull on the cravat to reveal....

Luca in his top hat and tails ready to invite you out to dinner! The reverse of the pull out card is blank ready to write down the details of the invitation.

I coloured Luca with copics and added the tiniest spot of glitter to his earing. The organza ribbon is from Hobby Craft.
The rose is also from Hobby Craft and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's party sentiments set stamped with black versafine ink.

Hope you enjoyed meeting Luca! Pop over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to see what the rest of the gorgeous pink ladies came up with! Thanks for looking! x

Whiff of Joy DT - another preview for you!

Thank you for your lovely comments on yesterday's preview card, I really appreciate them all! It seems you're loving the new collection as much as me already and today's image is sure to melt your heart too!
Here she is, "Angel with Christmas Tree". I honestly cannot decide which of these new images is my favourite they're all so beautiful. I love the flowing dress on this one and the angel wings are just so gorgeous! I have again used webster's pages for my card, my Christmas pad arrived last week and it hasn't been put away yet, keep dipping into it LOL!

I've coloured the image with copics and added some Basic Grey pearls to the baubles on the Christmas tree.

Lots of Whiff of Joy dies on this card! The sentiment is handwritten with my calligraphy pen but the gorgeous swirl frame around it is from Whiff of Joy's christmas sentiments set and I also used the matching die cut from Whiff of Joy - I love how coordinated it makes it look! Remember I had the little holly leaves on my card yesterday? Well I've used both sizes for this card. The die has two large and two small leaves and two sets of berries to match all on the one die! I used some more pearls for my berries, again from Basic Grey.

The gorgeous gold swirls have been cut with another of the new Whiff of Joy dies. Both of these swirls come on the same die -so gorgeous!

Hope you like it and don't forget to check back tomorrow when I will have another preview for you. These gorgeous stamps and dies will be released on 1st November at Whiff of Joy! Thanks for looking! x

hAnglar stamp for sale

I have a hAnglar stamp for sale on ebay - another one I already owned that I bought again as part of a kit recently! Click here if you're interested!

Whiff of Joy DT - a preview for you!!!

It is preview time at Whiff of Joy and WOW do I have some previews for you!!! November's release is certainly a gorgeous one and I'm sure you'll all love them as much as I do! There are four stamps and four dies in this upcoming release!
For my first preview I chose the praying angel by Elisabeth Bell. Isn't she stunning!? I have used Webster's pages for my card and distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink and then stitched them.
I have coloured the image with copics. For once I didn't add any stickles to the wings, I wanted to keep a vintage feel.
I added a gorgeous gardenia from Wild Orchid Crafts and an array of leaves using the new Whiff of Joy Dies. Here I have used the leaves dies (the ivy leaves and leaf spray) and the Holly die (there are two sizes of holly leaves on the die!). I also added a snowflake from my stash.
The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy Christmas sentiments set, there are lots of fabulous sentiments in it and it comes in a CD case ready to store!

Hope you've enjoyed my first preview. These gorgeous stamps and dies will be released on 1st November. I will be back with another preview for you tomorrow. Thanks for looking! x

Simon Says Stamps Challenge DT - Punch it!

It is time for another Simon Says Stamp challenge where you have the chance to win a fabulous $25 spree in the Simon Says Stamp store courtesy of Heidi!

Something different from me today for our challenge at Simon Says Stamp - no coloured image!!!! Our challenge this week is Punch it and all the DT are showcasing Hero Arts stamps. I have used papers from MME La Paperie stack and distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink.
I've kind of had this card in my mind for a long time. Ever since I bought the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch and found that I just didn't think the flowers looked right on their own - they were crying out to be made into a hydrangea head to me!! I just love hydrangeas, and think they look best when they're starting to fade and go brown at the edges, but maybe that's just me because I like distressed things LOL.

I punched lots of the flowers from two different papers making sure I got a good variation of purples and then embossed them all for a more realistic look and inked the edges of them all with vintage photo distress ink.

The sentiment is also by Hero arts, from the same set as the flower stem and I added some small pink gems from Hero arts in the corner.

The butterfly is from the Antique Engravings set by Hero arts, stamped with smokey grey versafine ink.

I decorated the inside with just the stamps from the front and have written "on your anniversary" with my calligraphy pen.

I thought I'd share with you Kara's efforts at cardmaking!! I was really pleased with myself to have finished my card for this week's challenge super early and had put some finishing touches to it whilst making the tea.....popped upstairs.....popped back down and ARGH!!!!!!!! Kara had taken the grey inkpad and plonked it face down in the middle of my finished card.....Ooooooo I was soooooo not happy that I had to start the whole card again from scratch after all that work punching and inking all the flowers! I need locks for my craft desk!

Hope I've inspired you to join us this week at Simon Says Stamp's challenge. Pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the amazing cards my teamies have made! Thanks for looking! x

A hAnglar for Friday Sketchers

Yippee! I managed to find time to ink up one of my hAnglars! I have used the gorgeous sketch at Friday Sketcher's challenge for my card. I decided to ink up one of the boys as it was my nephews birthday last week and I only had two suitable cards in my whole card stash - I must remember to make boys/mens cards LOL!! I have used papers by MME - So Sophie collection and edged them with walnut stain distress ink.
I have coloured the image with copics - love this image he is so cool with his skateboard!

Not much else to say, I kept it simple with some die cut circles from my stash with stars on. Not only do I need to make more boys cards I need to do more boy card shopping LOL, I didn't really have anything in my stash to put on this card - not even the right colour buttons! I still like it though - another yippee, I managed to make a clean and simple card!
Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Hope you can stop by tomorrow, not only do I have my Simon Says Stamp challenge card to show you but you will not want to miss the start of my Whiff of Joy previews for November's release - OMG - G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S they are!!!! x
