A scrapbook page for Stampavie

Morning! Wasn't the weekend glorious!?!? We had barbecues both days and it was so lovely to just chill out in the garden! Although it did seem to get rather wet in our garden at times thanks to the little person above and some giant water pistols LOL!! You may remember the scrapbook page I did a while back using my daughter's photo. Well, that was actually done to hang on the wall in some scrapbook frames I bought and I finally got around to creating the one of my little boy. It is more or less a mirror of the other one so that they can hang either side of the chimney breast, except I ran out of the Tim Holtz elements I'd used on the first one and had to use different ones. I used K&Co paper and distressed the edges using vintage photo distress ink, available from Simon Says Stamp - have you seen how large their Tim Holtz section is!?!?! Wish I could buy it all! I am entering it into Stampavie's challenge as this week it is "flower power".

I added a selection of blossoms and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts around the photo, all sprayed with glimmer mist. The lace is from my stash. The Tim Holtz swirls have been painted with picket fence crackle paint and then sponged with vintage photo distress ink.
The butterflies were punched from pearlescent paper using a MS Monarch butterfly punch and a punch I borrowed at a crop. The gorgeous Parlour Roses are by Prima.

The grungeboard swirls are both from Tim Holtz grungeboard elements kit but I can, of course cut my own now with the die!!

Hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
